Cameron seeks independence referendum clarity for Scotland
buctootim replied to Guided Missile's topic in The Lounge
If you take a line between the Wash and the Severn, south of that GDP per capita is equivalent to Switzerland, north of that equivalent to Greece. Im not advocating breaking up both the UK and England but if it ever happened I think I might be able to get over it. -

Dunno if that was a reference to the SNP, or a genuine reference to their wind resources - off which they do have the strongest and most reliable. In the future it could well be as big a money earner as North sea oil was. -
Put on Goodyear F1 Eagle asymmetrics about 1,000 miles ago. Very very good so far.

England is overwhelmingly centrist now. If Scotland were to go it would remove a lot of old Labour MPs but Im not actually sure the party would be sad about that. -

I agree with Cameron. They can have what they've got or go independent. They cant play pick and mix with the relationship - taking the parts they like, leaving those they dont and reserving the right to eff off at some time in the future when the weather might be better and they've gort a better offer. -
Anthony Stokes is their joint leading striker alongside Hooper.

Lennon looking a striker. Why would he do that? http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11787/7393105/Lennon-fears-bidding-war

How do you run a business if you cant read properly? "Staff at the Tesco store in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, saw the 60-year-old chef shoplift low value food items on five separate occasions, and then set up a camera to film his actions".
-
Sounds like a yes to me.

Im sick of them being sick. Just die or get better already!
-
Why would Tescos staff watch him shoplift five times and let him wander out of the door?

Think the plan is to save money by not going anywhere....

Prior to the EU Scotland leaving the UK would have been a bad thing for them and us. Now tbh I dont think it would make much difference, given the freedom of goods and people around the EU anyway - and what little difference it would make would be good for us and bad for them. -

God Ive been there and done that. I can see the attraction of Dubai now -
I really like Lee Holmes, mainly because I've always thought that he has huge potential if he could stay fit and get a run in the team. However after three years of giving him those opportunities, it really looks now as if his body, for whatever reason, isnt up to the rigours of professional football. Time to let him go imo.

If 17,000 posts totalling 17,000 minutes equates to 0.64% of Alpine's life, that would make him 5 years old. Hm.... -

Its not, its really not that. Alpine over dramatises and over reacts, never taking a thoughtful middle way when the extremities are available. Its not just Saints related, look at the death penalty thread for example. Why come on a discussion board if you want only to talk but not listen? or a fans forum where you only want to criticise and not praise? -

tbf Andy, my Dad's family are from republican West Belfast. When we used go there at the height of the troubles everybody was very nice to us, even in the volunteers club my cousin thought it would be 'interesting' for us to visit (albeit very suspicious and had us checked out). Family and politics are usually kept separate. -
Thanks for that. Interesting. Normally success, especially playing in the premiership attracts more kids and casuals - so hopefully this season we've started a move towards more younger, future hard core supporters.

Do you know if that survey was carried out whilst at the Dell or at SMS? My impression was that the Dell was dominated (because of capacity) by older long standing season ticket holders. SMS gave more people a chance to go.

More to the point, where are we going to get tips on which label for a £1,000 nylon puffa jacket.

He went seriously downhill in the past few months. All he did was be snarky about whatever anybody wrote. No loss.
