  1. But doesn't Crouch represent 10% + of the shares? He must have voted for RL??? And hate is as srtrong a motivator as you can get - so those that didn't attend or proxy their voting rights, can't be that much against the evil one?
  2. Well, if he was truly such a hated and devisive figure, then this vote really doesn't make sense. It points to the fact that the views held by zealots on this forum just are not representative of those that matter.
  3. The numbers are dwindling because, quite frankly, this is a depressing place to be. Anyone with a less than wholly pessimistic outlook is lamblasted for being a luvvie or a 'lunatic'. For so long as I can be bothered, I'll be rejecting outright pessimism and looking for (and finding) positives. I find life is much more pleasant that way.
  4. That's your definition. Mine is anywhere below play-off to above relegation zone. In fact we are a mid-table side.
  5. When we beat Forest we will, in fact, be a mid table team. And I like you, even when you're wrong.
  6. Ripley I'll give you, and maybe Kashfool, but are you saying Moss was better than Davies? And the questionwas, would you have them in this side - are you sure you'd want Colleter, regardless of ability. You've got to be joking on Hiley and an injured David Howells. David Hughes is a could 'ave been'.
  7. Scott Bevan Paul Jones Neil Moss Michael Stensgård Francis Benali Patrick Colleter Jason Dodd Richard Dryden Scott Hiley Claus Lundekvam [/b] Scott Marshall Ken Monkou Lee Todd Philip Warner John Beresford Wayne Bridge Kevin Gibbens David Howells David Hughes Hassan Kachloul Matthew Le Tissier Chris Marsden Matthew Oakley Stuart Ripley Andrew Williams Steve Basham James Beattie David Hirst Mark Hughes Egil Ostenstad Marian Pahars Mark Paul Dani Rodriguez We may have had a better team, but would you want any of those highlighted in our current squad?
  8. Mr A, you have plenty enough to say for yourself without putting words in my mouth. - I do not believe we will/have to sell the best of our crop in January (see post above). That's your view, not mine. - I do not believe we will get relegated - again I think that's your view - It is you who is suggesting going into administration as the truly inspired (and probably unnecessary) solution to our woes (such as they are) Please do me the favour of not suggesting I have in any way endorsed your relentlessly negative stance with regard to this club. Do you have a constructive (and financially sustainable) alternative strategy?
  9. And you base this opinion on what evidence? Lets say our overdraft at Barclays is at 2% over base rate - 4% in total. Assume the o/d is down to £4m. Interest cover is £160k pa - just over £3k per week (compare that to player wages). Barclays have no interest in seeing us go under. So long as we are covering interest and making some reduction they'll be happy in the current climate. Apparently the Stadium loan is not in arrears. No moans on here about local suppliers not getting paid (remember pompey 12/15 or so years ago?). That just leaves HMR&C - RL would be mad to **** them around. The credit crunch may have done us a huge favour. If, and none of us know this, the exodus of players has already taken the wage bill to a sustainable level, Administration is not a likely scenario. For those that want to see RL gone, the best means would be to get us promoted and bought by a sugar daddy - but even that is not so easy - Everton have been up for sale for yonks.
  10. Be careful what you wish for.
  11. Cracking. Funniest post I've read in ages. Watch out though, as I expect some will take you seriously!
  12. Oh dear. I think you need to get help.
  13. I know - annoying isn't it!
  14. Hardly. My point (for the wrist-slitters) was that we are not cut adrift. Oh, and I've just checked the table again, and see that Burnley are 4th, and if you add in their League Cup run, in the middle of a purple patch. Not really a shock defeat is it? And actually, even 3 points against Forest would make things look considerably different.
  15. Just read most of the threads on here and assumed we must be cut adrift at the bottom of the table. To help everyone out, I've checked the table, and it appears we're 4 points clear of the relegation zone. I sort of expected it to be a tough season, and avoiding relegation to be the best we could hope for. So far I'm relatively pleased. Win the next two and it'll look a good deal better.
  16. We haven't actually been relegated yet.
  17. It isn't. His contract was up. He/We wouldn't/couldn't agree a new one.
  18. Because the people who own the shares didn't want to. Between them they believe Lowe is the best option, and however much of a tizzy 20 anti-Lowe zealots work themselves into on here, it will not change that fact. No-one has stepped up to the plate to buy shares and make a difference. Lowe and his cohort will not give the shares away, so we go on. IMO the best way to get rid of Lowe is promotion. Or to make the club financially viable in this league so that it is attractive to an investor. Administration will like as not see him back.
  19. If I'm ever on trial, I sincerely hope you're not on the jury.
  20. I have it on very good authority that Rupert passes all the water sold in the stadium.
  21. Not a Luvvie - I just prefer to take a blanced view. I would call myself more anti the anti-Lowe zealots who've ruined the TSW experience for most of us. Very happy to debate the game with you - on the game thread.
  22. Sometimes, when you've nothing sensible to say, you're better off not saying anything.
  23. The club have to agree the pricing with Manu who get 45% of the take. Don't you wish though they could come up with a pricing and allocation process which would please evryone?
  24. next time you're up your ladder at SMS, could you have a look in the boardromm and tell us what pictures are hanging on the wall.
