We played plenty of it, and to good effect. In fact a fair amount of those headed goals were a direct result of quickly getting the ball into good positions out wide. We havent managed that this season a) because we take too long to get up the pitch and b) we don't have the players (Pelle sold, Long lacking confidence) Being sucked into a corner and hitting weak crosses out of desperation because you've got nowhere to go is in no way comparable to overrunning a team and having the space out wide to at least try and hit a decent ball in.

Koemans tactics were fast, direct counter attacking football or long ball. Puels main tactics are slow, sideways football and lots of crosses into the box to players who aren't tall enough to compete with the centre backs, crosses often by the striker who should've been on the receiving end of said cross but is under instruction to split out wide. Definitely similar, I see your point.

You can't play advantage and pull it back for a red card either.
-
I thought they'd changed the rules that accidentally fouls inside the box that resulted in a penalty were no longer punishable by a red card? Which is exactly what it was. The arm pull was outside the box but didn't end up impeding play.

Hardly. 3 outfield players started both games.

The league should take priority? Why? So we can qualify for Europe again and play a weakened team every game?

We're in the curva sud (blue) are we not?

Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES

Things we have learned in this thread. 'Muslims' that sympathise with right wing extremists are equal to radicalised jihadists, and are equally the result of "mass" migration. The more you know. -

Why is the entire city of Liverpool stuck in the 80's. The other 90 clubs in this country couldn't give two sh1ts about "yer histery"

If the board aren't prepared to pay Koeman enough to have made him want to stay, how do you think we're going to attract those two you've just mentioned? Especially considering the money Pellegrini would've been on at City. We won't get anywhere near the money he'd want. Clueless.
-
There's a difference between saying if we spend the extra money more wisely that those clubs around us then we can close the gap, than saying we can flat out spend more than them.
-
Who has said that? Even simpletons like you can work out that there will be no 'closing the gap' when everybody is getting the same slice of the pie.

Can we PAY Arsenal/Tottenham to take Wanyama away from us?
RedArmy replied to Singapore Saint's topic in The Saints
Consistency is the key. Wanyama's first touch was poor, the ball was taken from him, he dived in two footed from behind and didn't get the ball, arguable a yellow but he gave Clattenburg a decision to make. It was stupid. However, Valencia's challenge was just as bad in the grand scheme of things. Clattenburg loves the attention and getting his face on tv. Another ref and a 3pm kick off and he might have got away with a yellow, but the point still stands, don't give the ref the opportunity to send you off! -
Chelsea away might have been last year, but I wouldn't class it as "years" ago.

Holiday Accom in Spain Between Valencia & Barca.

If the kids are into their theme parks then try somewhere in/near Salou, and take them to portaventura. There's a water park there too I think. -
This would surely make it impossible for newly promoted sides to improve their squads and establish themselves in the premier league. Not many players will sign for them with the possibility of having to play in the championship the following season. They might sign on a 1 year deal, but if they impress and a bigger club comes in for them...they're off.

I don't hold a grudge against Chambers. If it wasn't for him jumping ship, it would have been very likely that Schneiderlin would've been allowed to leave. I know who I'd rather have in the side.
