I will add, that whilst not defending the police whole heartedly, I do believe, that in general, they only meet violence, with violence IMO the students will get back what they seek to deliver, in spades. If you for one moment, think, that a few thousand spotty faced left wing thinking individuals, will bring down a government, let alone this one, then you are deluded. Carry on with this civil disobedience, and you will lose any support you imagine you have, banning orders will be served on your union before you can utter the words 'kill the copper'. Whoever we go for, has to fit the criteria set by this club. That is, a young player willing to play in L1, capable of playing in the CC, with the potential to play in the PL.

It really opened my eyes as well, it showed me, that the yoof of today have no respect whatsoever, and that you see violence as a normal action (too many bl00dy war games on PS). I agree with the few posts above, read the bill first, then comment. As to cuts in university funding, this in the long run, could be a good thing, There are many 'graduates' working the fast food route to riches and fame, maybe this will encourage them to start on this road three years earlier! Less rubbish on the streets of Southampton on a Saturday and Sunday morning, less housing being gobbled up for 'student' accomodation, more parking spaces on our side roads, and maybe, just maybe, the good Universitys will attract private funding, thus ensuring education for the brighest of our yoof. The rest can join up/get a job/get an apprenticeship, do national sevice to the country (my favorite one).

What an absolute load of tripe, how many times must you be told, any state funding for a Royal wedding, will be more than compensated, by the tourist impact of said wedding. As for cutting public sector jobs, it needs doing, Labour created these made up jobs, did things improve, did they hell. so once again, the wicked Blue witch has to come along and put to right, all the bad the Red devil has done. Make no mistake, you aim your anger at the banks, but we are where we are, due to thirteen years of gross governmental mis-management.

Having now read several 'media' accounts of the so called peacefull student protest, including the fact that one delightfull person, found it funny to poke Camilla with a stick, I defy any one apart from Thorpe-Le-Saint on this forum to say that they now think that right belongs to the student body. Only a portion of the damage caused has been put up on here, and any one, who thinks attacking horses with sticks paint snooker balls and fireworks, is their right, is frankly, sick in the head. It seems that the world has gone mad, cuts need to be made, or else, we as a nation will go bankrupt. I lost pay last year, did not get a pay rise this year, and will not get a pay rise next year, thats working in the private sector. During the same period, Labour were handing out money to all and sunder, and that my red and white friends, is why we are in the position we are today, make no mistake about that. The proposals put foward about student fees, are fair, so to see the level of incomprehension about them, by the very people they affect, is quite alarming.

Why?? It's not pay on the day education, is it. You'll only pay when you earn, that IMO, and the opinions of many I know, is an acceptable thing. Why should we pay for three years of partying.....on another note, if you only get '6' hours of lectures per week, how's this for a novel idea, do 18 hours of lectures, and hey presto, only 1 year at University!!

We didn't get as much homework in the 60's, because we had to work at School, not ponce around like they appear to in present times! We also done a great deal of it during study periods, and our lunch hour!

Working on that criteria, it should have gone to that crappy little island at the other end of the M27, that is both corrupt, and in need of re-development!!

In at work now, I must say, that there are some fecking idiots on our roads. I had them undertaking and overtaking on the Millbrook rd, and I was doing a steady 20/25 mph. No wonder so many end up smaking into things!

The amount of students I see out on the town 'till all hours, most nights of the weeks, would suggest, that they have too much money. A question for all students, why should the tax payer pay for two years of social mayhem. Most of you only attend 5/6 lectures a week, then should you go on and qualify for something good, like doctor dentist lawyer vet etc, you commence to totally rip of the very people, whose taxes made you what you are. So forgive me if I say 'well done Mr Cameron'.
