  1. Just one fly in the ointment as far as I know. The land is owned by ABP, as is the waterfront, and they are not happy teddy bears at the moment. This development was all tied in with the Dibden Bay development, so I wouldn't be planning any picnics there in the near future. As I said, as far as I know.
  2. Yes, and yes he is enthusiastic. Personally, I was a little let down by it, as it didn't really say anything that I didn't know already. That said, if you know nothing, then it's a real eye opener.
  3. To be fair, you won 1-4, but we hammered you. Watch the re-runs, see all the glum Poopey faces, we tore you apart for an hour, only James saved you, that and the slightly illegal O'Hara.
  4. But Mero, they're not paying off your debts as such, nor do they have any intention of doing so, or they would off done it pre-admin. They are more than likely going offer a pittance in the pound, and for the second time in 10 years, your club will be looking to write off substantial debts, which yet again, has given you an unfair advantage in footballing terms. IMHO, this is not something to be proud of, but given that the Poopey boards are going nuts over this, then I guess there is a vast lowering of morals in East Hampshire. FWIW, we had guys like this, interested in Saints, they also claimed pots of Gold. He is what he is, a chancer, and so it looks like a marriage made in heaven. Mind you, there is still have tomorrow to negotiate;)
  5. Oh good, it's now official, Poopey are headed for the conference. Though the club’s new owners are more than likely to have to start rebuilding Portsmouth in the Championship, Lloyd maintains his priority is to “take the club back to where it deserves to be,
  6. That initial £3m payment will guarantee Lloyd's consortium - thought to include a South African and a Liechtenstein businessman - 14 days' exclusivity. Cripes, for £3m, he could buy the club, so what's going on:rolleyes:
  7. Blimey, poor man hasn't earned very much in bonuses at all.... And Storrie's lucrative contract, which earned him more than £1.2million according to the club's last accounts, included bonuses whenever the team won or drew a competitive match.
  8. Is it ours to sell?...I thought the council 'donated' it?.
  9. With the greatest of respect PES, anyone buying Poopy now, will be of the 'asset stripping' kind. You have nothing to offer, other than lots of points deductions, a crappy stadium, and a CC fanbase.
  10. He's behind you!......................
  11. my_pfc_dream Posted on 11/03/2010 18:36 avram grant still working for free Email Message To A Friend | Reply To Message says Chainrai he is a great bloke and deserves a lot more than he is getting!! Anyone who believes this, is in my opinion, deluded. Why would he??.
  12. 'Tis the truth, also true, is that if he can't fund the running of the club, outside of the 'frozen debts', then he will have no choice but to liquidate the company. This is my understanding based on various sources, AA has to keep trimming, until the incoming outweigh the outgoings. I think there will be more going before long.
  13. Page 3 in the Sun today, is from Poor smouth, bet she wasn't born there, a honey IMO.
  14. Jacob leaves Pompey along with 'up to 85' other staff Mark Jacob today headed the list of Fratton Park job cuts. However, Peter Storrie and Tanya Robins are expected to survive the first wave of redundancies set in motion by Andrew Andronikou. The News understands around 85 will today be shown the door as administrators slash personnel. Groups of staff have been given times for meetings throughout Wednesday to learn of their fate. A press conference is due to be held at 5pm today where administrator Andrew Andronikou will reveal his plan. Executive director Jacob has already gone after being informed of the news this morning. However, he was not a paid employee of the club. In the meantime, Storrie and Robins are believed to be safe as they continue to help the administrator with his efforts. Pompey's chief executive is understood to be remaining for the time being to help find an owner and assist Avram Grant on the football side of matters. He had already agreed to a substantial pay-cut. Tug Wilson, training ground manager, has also lost his job. He said: 'It's been a very bad day for a lot of people but it is not a sad day for me. I've worked here for eight and a half years and I've enjoyed my time at Portsmouth. 'I wish the club all the best and all the success in the world. 'I feel bad for other people who have lost their jobs. Some of them will need that money to pay mortgages, although I'm not in that position and hopefully they will all be re-employed once the club finds a new owner. 'No one wants to see the club go under.' One staff member from the Pompey Youth Academy emerged from a meeting at Fratton Park this morning. He was told he was being axed with immediate effect. The man, who didn't want to be named, said he was three weeks short of being entitled to redundancy money. He will now rely on getting the government's statutory redundancy cash which is likely to take weeks. He told The News: 'I asked them if there was any dialogue about possibly taking a pay cut and they told that hadn't been considered. 'I'm still taking it in. I hope there's a buyer found, there might still be a chance of getting my job back. 'I'm absolutely gutted.' Warehouse worker Mike Crawford, 42, from Tunstall Road, Cosham, walked out before his scheduled meeting as he said he knew he was going to be axed. He said the staff members who were being fired were being taken into the boardroom, while those who are staying were ushered into chief executive Peter Storrie's office to renegotiate their contracts. Mr Crawford said he and other staff members were being treated badly. 'What they're doing is going past all common decency. I've just been kept hanging on, I had to find out about my meeting yesterday in The News. 'You've got an administrator talking about transparency but the employees are being treated like dirt. I don't suffer fools gladly. 'I just think what they are doing to us is just disgraceful.' One worker, who wished to remain anonymous, added: 'I'm very worried - we're all just hanging on waiting to find out.' Another added: 'I'm just trying to keep out the way before they tell me.' Mr Andronikou has already pledged to 'cut to the bone' when he took over at Fratton Park. Looks like it!.
  15. Guess it pays to tell porkies!.... thegrinch Posted on 10/03/2010 12:47 Peter and Tanya keep their jobsEdited On: 10/03/2010 12:49 Email Message To A Friend | Reply To Message Just spoke to a friend of a PFC staff member who was just told he is being made redundant. He was even less happy when he claims to have found out Storrie and Robins keep their jobs on full pay. If this is indeed true it STINKS!! The majority of staff were either made redundant or reduced to a 2 day week. I wonder if that will be mentioned in the press conference later today.
  16. Cardiff given 56 day stay off execution, and Southend given a 35 day stay, this stay is an order by the courts, to pay their debts in full ..alas, Chester wound up.
  17. Great read Redkeith, in particular, the storrie-of the blues. I hope that one of the more robust and clever posters on here, will send that link to everyone concerned, the media, HMRC, the PL, the FA, EUFA, FIFA, all the poopy message boards, all the creditors, Sky, BBC, in fact everyone.
  18. In any other business, the fact copied below, would be reason enough, to fold a company, so why not Poor smouth!. Well, the administrator told us that the debts were north of £70m, while the assets probably only amount to £36m, based on the £15m fixed assets (essentially the ground) in the 2008 accounts and £21m for the players. Storrie had estimated a value of £38m in the statement of affairs provided to the court, but HMRC have pointed out that the squad was recently valued at £21m and I know who I would rather believe. Either way, the assets are clearly much lower than the debt, which is why the banks decided to pull the plug.
  19. Although this has been said before on here, I thought it deserved another airing!. The only constant throughout this nightmare period has been the Chief Executive, Peter Storrie, who has been with the club since early 2002. This is the man who managed to introduce just about the only penniless “billionaires” in the Middle East to his club and presided over a reign of staggering financial ineptitude. How could one of the highest paid CEOs in the Premier League with over 20 years experience not realise that signing shedloads of ordinary players on exorbitant wages was going to lead to ruin? The only skill he has demonstrated has been his ability to manipulate the media into somehow believing that he is the good guy in this sorry tale. In fact, Storrie has plenty of previous with all of his former clubs going on to suffer from financial problems. "Money for nothing" He was the first paid Managing Director at West Ham in 1991, where the supporters staged a sit-down protest on the pitch against his bond scheme, which was subsequently withdrawn. Years later, his reverse Midas touch had its effect with West Ham forced to make a fire sale to the porn barons. After he was sacked in 1999, Storrie turned up as Southend United’s Chief Executive, where he came under fire for his whopping (at the time) salary of £120,000. Southend are, of course, currently facing a winding up order. Storrie then took the role of Executive Deputy Chairman at Notts County, whose own shambolic saga of mysterious owners and unpaid debts has rivaled Portsmouth in the race to win basket case of the year. Obviously, Storrie’s connection to these troubled clubs is purely a coincidence in the same way that his old mucker Harry Redknapp is in no way responsible for the financial crises that have damaged all his former clubs (Bournemouth, West Ham, Southampton and, er. Portsmouth).
  20. Possibly all the carrots, just a guess;)
  21. This is all well and good, but!! What happens if they are lent this money from the 'third party lender', say Friday, then are liquidated next week (just one of many scenareos), the PL would still have to give said money to the third party lender. Um!!, I thought in cases like that, if the situation were to arise, that money would be passed on down to the FL clubs. IMO, the PL will be setting yet another prescident, one that again, could come back and haunt them via the courts.
  22. I think that this is a valued point nick. Either the FT has made a mistake, or the Admin man has. FWIW, the matie who bought PFC as a joke, and is now inundated with creditors wanting their money, will be relieved that the nice man at PCFC, is trying to sell his club for him;)
  23. WS, it's easy to predict possible outcomes;). I want the law applied, without law, we have anarchy. The FA, and the PL should be hanging their respective heads in shame, for allowing this to continue. I hope beyond hope, that if they help Poor smouth out, that they survive in the PL, and that the team relegated in their stead, sue the pants of the PL. I hope the FA are having sleepless nights now, for allowing Poor smouth to continue in their showpiece cup competition, whilst knowengly trading whilst insolvent. They allowed they to compete with an un-registered player FFS, and saw fit to bury their respective heads in the sand. http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/162161/Portsmouth-facing-FA-axe-for-Wembley I guess someone else is thinking the same If not wound up, I love to see them get to the final and win it, then for all their wrongdoings to be brought to light, thus heaping more shame on the FA. Forget not, we still have the side shows to be bought to a conclusion yet, HR, PS, and MM in court to answer seperate charges on tax. This of course, is all conjecture, and is one of many possible outcomes.
  24. Technicaly, it wasn't a crane at all. It was on a moterised barge moored at 102 berth, it was in simplistic terms, an 'A' frame, which buckled and collasped.
  25. They're like a tag team, browbeat one, and then 'tag' another one takes up the fight. I assume DD and AS are at lunch!.
