With your good contacts do you have any insight into how this investigation is going and what the likely outcome is? I'm just mindful of the fact that Luton Town faced a retrospective penalty a while ago when the financial conduct of previous owners hit the current innocent owners of the club at the time. The same couldn't happen to us, could it?

13:28

Neil: Baker Tilly sent out legal letters to people a while back, but there are no updates at present. They are acting for the creditors of the last club, not the current club.

I understand our current 'player wage to revenue' ratio is around the 75% mark but that statistic is currently masked by the last of the parachute payments. Do you know how the club will go about reducing that figure next season once the parachute payments can no longer be used to mask the 'shop floor' figures? Thanks

13:27

Neil: The Pompey player wage bill is around 30 per cent of operating turnover (around £5.5m). That does not include parachute payments, they are separate. The operating turnover does not include aged debt. Operating loss at this moment in time is projected to be £320,000. Club are hoping it will be better. The figures have been published so are in the public domain.

Surely this is something a community club must avoid at all costs ?

13:21

Comment From KLP Neil - what's your thoughts on the 2000+ petition signed by people against the Fratton/Tesco development. Their argument is that it will harm the trade of local retailers. Given we're now a "Community" club do you see a potential conflict of interests here?

13:21

Comment From Trousers. Hi Neil. Would you support a boycott of local businesses if like me you agree that they are trying to stop our stadium expansion by signing a petition against the tesco development? Disgraceful behaviour!

13:22

Neil: I see news travels quickly to Southampton. Anyhow, it is up to fans where they want to shop and up to people if they want to sign a petition, nothing to do with me.

If the Tories keep going at that rate they'll end up matching the ten times increase in food bank usage under Labour's watch #whataboutery

It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if Rickie never gets picked for England again. -

Hamstring? That'll teach him for scoring flying volleys in training... Davis + Gazza vs Man Utd then...

Agree with pap's logic here. The best way to cover up a crime is to act as if you didn't commit the crime. The McCanns are acting as if they didn't commit the crime. So, one way or the other, their actions make perfect sense.

Totally agree. England losing today would be a blessing in disguise. It would accelerate the re-building of the squad in time for EURO '18 and beyond. Being out of the top flight for 7 years did Saints the world of good in the long run and the same would be true for England if they missed the next World Cup. I do like agreeing with you on stuff like this Hypo. Much better than the "my opinion is better than yours, ner, ner, ner, ner, ner, ner" bickering mentality of some on here.

Far too subtle for this forum...
