  1. Sounds good. Can one park in the car park for the duration of the game? And how big are your rowlocks?
  2. It's largely unprovable, which is what makes these opinion articles just that: an opinion
  3. Just because an organisation (e.g. The BBC) makes it easy for its staff to acquire a poppy doesn't mean they don't also wear it for 'genuine' reasons. It would be a tad cynical to think otherwise... If this chap could come up with some stats to back up his suspicions then maybe his point of view would be more compelling. The words 'mountain' and 'molehill' spring to mind.
  4. @pn_neil_allen: RT @danroan: Supporters Direct announces Chief Executive David Lampitt will be leaving the supporters' trust movement at the end of the year.
  5. Indeed. I would imagine it was us pushing for this rather than Everton as they've got two home games over Christmas, so there wasn't really an incentive for them to widen the gap between the two. So, yep, good of Everton (in footballing terms) to agree to the move, but totally agree with everyone else that this could have been foreseen and agreed months ago...

  8. On the slightly positive side, it now means we've got 2 days between the Cardiff and Everton away games over Christmas rather than the original 1 day... (although 2 days instead of 3 between Everton and Chelsea of course)
  9. Yep, pretty much agree with that although I wouldn't be surprised if Yoshida got the nod over Hooiveld on the bench
  10. He can speak better English than the last Saints manager to pick up the award...
  11. Southampton FC ‏@SouthamptonFC #SaintsFC’s trip to @Everton next month will now take place on Sunday 29th December with a 1.30pm kick-off.

  13. Maybe some people interpret it that way because it suits their agenda... The more people that say that the red poppy is a sign of "condoning war" the more it'll become engrained into peoples' minds and over time it may become the prevailing point of view. Wearing a poppy does not mean that person condones war (or at least war for wars sake). If other people want to think it does then that is their prerogative but it would be wrong from them to judge others by their own point of view.
  14. Reed. Although can't quite see who he's going to displace in the foreseeable as the competition in midfield is already somewhat overcrowded.
  15. I know! I lost a tenner on Stoke to win last week too.... Although its slightly different this season as I'm now single handedly improving our chances of finishing in 4th as opposed to saving my club from relegation. It's a thankless task but someone's gotta do it....
  16. I know its frowned upon on here, but I've put a a small bet on Hull to win or the draw tomorrow just to cushion the blow if we come back down to Earth with an almighty thud!
  17. Hull City Official ‏@hullcityteam The Players will be wearing limited edition shirts tomorrow featuring a Poppy to commentate Remembrance Sunday #hcafc
  18. Does Luke Shaw still qualify?
  19. It's not a view I share but its an interesting viewpoint nonetheless. Cheers for posting.
  20. Southampton FC ‏@SouthamptonFC #SaintsFC will host @officialpompey, @StevenageFC or @bartonroversfc in the third round of this season’s #FAYouthCup. The first-round tie between Barton and Stevenage takes place tonight, with the winners travelling to Portsmouth in round two. Luke Shaw ‏@Luke_shaw3 What a draw that would be for the youth team, Pompey at st Mary's !
  21. Sorry...when I make stuff up I must remember to make it sound realistic I don't think he's rumbled yet that we know they are the same person so keep it between me and you...
