Do the PFA have any power here?

14:11

Neil: I am informed the PFA are now on-side with all of this. Obviously the adverse publicity at the time rather embarrassed them!

Embarrassed for sticking up for their member's rights when incorrectly challenged in Parliament... More intimidation from the Pompey machine... followed by the capitulation of those daring to put their head above the parapet it would seem....
 2.

14:09

Comment From MattyC From the court papers I have seen there is no right of appeal for anybody. Even if there might be and Portpin did then the FL and PKF would simply say it was not possible else the club ceases to exisit. The court would not allow an appeal under those circumstances - but I repeat, I see no room for appeal in the documents I have read.

Erm...so the need to Pompey not to die usurps English law....? Riiiight....
 3.

14:07

Comment From Seed Is it possible for a Portsmouth tax payer to challenge the loan from PCC?

14:07

Neil: Why would a Southampton fan like you be interested? Bit sad aren't you.

4.

14:00

Comment From BLF Neil - you seem to be avoiding questions on whether Portpin have the legal right to appeal the outcome of the court case or not. Is this because you don't know the answer or don't want to answer...?

14:00

Neil: I have never disputed it. The fact is I do not know - and people close to it aren't certain either.

5.

13:53

Comment From Tom Can Portpin appeal the court decision if it doesn't go in their favour?

13:54

Neil: That remains unclear. I have been told it is unlikely but, as ever, there is nothing solid in any of this.

#factlessallen
 6.

13:51

Comment From Phil OMac I've got an idea to save the club lots of money: Let all our players go at the end of the season and then sign loads the week before the new season starts. That way we won't have to pay any wagees over the summer break. Genius!

7.

13:49

Comment From Eggy Neil, can you confirm you have put in the full £1000 to the fund?

13:50

Neil: This seems an obsession with Southampton fans. Pathetic really. Anyhow, I am part of a syndicate involving the likes of Jordan Cross, Steve Bone, Howard Frost, Steve Wilson and Mark McMahon. We are local media have backed the Trust and will continue to do so.

8.

13:48

Comment From Scottish Scott Big respect Neil, what are your thoughts on fans saying Sat win at crewe was meaningless? certainly didnt feel meaningless to the 485 of us that made the trip. Was an amazing atmosphere.

13:49

Neil: I found it offensive to be honest. I do wonder if the character who said that was still on Express FM he would have still aired exactly those views.

9.

13:46

Comment From Mini in Horrabridge Devon Neil If the court case is put back again and our season finishes on the 27th April, are we expelled from the football league? if so what division will we be expelled too and do you think this has been the FA and Premier leagues intention all along as they have given us no breathing room in any direction?

13:47

Neil: That would seem to be the case. No club had start successive seasons in administration so it would be down to the Conference. Incidentally, nobody can tell me the Conference wouldn't welcome Pompey. Think of the crowds and publicity boost it will bring that level - and the cash in the coffers!

Conference....?! Dream on....
 10.

13:43

Comment From Paul so if the Judge says 4 million, PST can't afford it, what next, i think this is far from over yet or straight forward.

13:44

Neil: Good question. In the past the Trust have said if they can't afford it the club will be liquidated. However, the Trust will not reveal how much they have got in their kitty. Which, although frustrating, makes sense.

11.

13:38

Comment From Decent Bloke Why don't the Trust call Chainrai's bluff, arrange to play fixtures away from Fratton Park for the next two years and take over the club NOW. Then, when he realises he has a stadium that he can't do anything with he will be biting the Trust's hand off to buy it back from him on the cheap.

13:39

Neil: For me that would just prolong the agony. Portpin have to leave this club as soon as possible for it to be able to move forwards. Arguing and fighting with them for the next few years would waste even more time.

12.

13:29

Comment From andygosneyeye How much did you enjoy Saturday afternoon Neil?

13:30

Neil: It was absolutely wonderful. Cannot comprehend why some fans couldn't enjoy that. Smiles, I actually saw smiles! From fans, from players, from backroom staff. Even Kev the Kitman! Forget who it was against - this is the level Pompey are at and after 23 winless matches it meant to the world to so, so many.

And some people think they haven't fallen far enough...
 13.

13:27

Comment From Davey K I read last week that the Parachute Payments have increased by £4m which wasn't in the Trust's business plan. This is obviously great news but should the Trust use some of it to increase the CVA offer as a goodwill gesture to the creditors? After all, they weren't planning on having this extra £4m so what a great PR move it would be to offer it to the creditors

13:29

Neil: Nice idea. However, loans from the council and Stuart Robinson have to be paid first in August. Also the PFA need paying. Unfortunately there isn't enough for everyone - and I know plenty of creditors. Some are my friends.

The man has missed the point.... this £4m is "new" money, isn't it?
 14.

13:17

Comment From Comeback Kings Given the news coming out of B'mouth today, do you think they may have been too quick to gloat over our predicament (which wasn't of our making)?

13:19

Neil: Not sure if their fans have been 'gloating'. However, experience at Pompey shows that when clubs are doing well few question what is going on behind the scenes. It is a trait of supporters across the country. Look at Cardiff as well as Bournemouth, Southampton fans don't even seem bothered their local paper has been banned for 2 years. The reason, because their teams are winning.

15.

13:07

Comment From PlayUpPompeyFanJake The big question on everybody's lips - The points deduction. Are we likely to be starting next seasons League 2 campaign on -10?

13:09

Neil: Funnily enough, am awaiting a call from the Football League about this with view to running a story in tomorrow's paper. Clarification is desperately need, especially with a court case unlikely to held until April. Remember, the Football League stated about the 10-point deduction in July. They could also have not expected the situation to drag on this long.

16.

13:03

Comment From Mike Andrews DO WE HAVE A COURT Date to finalise the sale of pfc?

13:05

Neil: Having spoken to PKF today, they say it is 'pretty slim' the case will be heard before Easter. However, they are expecting a firm date sometime this week. Dragging on, I know.

13:05

Comment From John T Hi Neil.... on 21st Feb the media reported: "But PKF confirmed there was an ambiguity with correspondence between former owners Portpin and the Football League that would need clarifying. They hope to confirm a specific date in the next few days." Why, nearly two weeks later, hasn't a date been set? What happened to the date being set "in the next few days"?

13:06

Neil: Again, going from what PKF are telling me, it is down to presenting evidence and finding a date when all relevant parties can be in court. Last week was a big one with the Trust, firming the Robinson land deal, the council loan and the FL's support for them.

17.

13:03

Neil: Greetings everybody. And before I get any more Twitter comments on the matter, that photo on the front of the site was taken of me at a certain St Mary’s game in April. I was among the Pompey fans and was fortunate enough to witness that marvellous David Norris goal. That was after Southampton had refused me entry to the ground on some trumped up excuse! Now let's get on this......
