If Lallana's effort had been a few inches to the right and Redmond's shot a few inches to the left this forum would be a completely different place last night and today. There's a fine line between love and despair
You know we're in trouble when THEVMAN joins in post-match chit chat rather than telling us who is in the starting line up or who we're signing next...
I disagree. Yes, we weren't at our best but Norwich, as the home team, were equally benign most of the game. A draw wouldn't 'have been an unfair result for either side.
Was at the game. 0-0 would have been a fair result. Both sides cancelled each other out. We need a midfielder who can create chances for our forwards....Banega anyone?
Norwich....one clear cut chance in open play, one goal. A fine line between success and failure...
I guess the 'problem' for Cork is that he's not what you would call an 'impact sub'. So, if he can't get in the starting 11 he's not necessarily going to be a good option off the bench unless we're looking to consolidate a game. So, maybe Cork is more likely to be a sub versus the 'bigger' teams where we'll be happier playing for a draw than vs the likes of Norwich where MP would be expecting a win.
