@SouthamptonFC: FULL TIME: Correction - it was Calum Chambers who was harshly penalised for handball late on. #saintsfc
@TomCoull: Wolves U21s 2-2 Saints U21s. An atrocious last-minute penalty decision robs Saints of a win. #saintsfc
Agree - just thought we might have started to see small signs of Pochettino input already....say, Ryan Seager making the step up from U18s to U21s.
But, as you say, early days yet.
Anyone know how much input Pochettino has had on the U18s and U21s thus far?
Given one of his USPs is his ability to accelerate the progression of players through the youth and development ranks I'm wondering when he's gonna start pulling strings throughout the club.
So far it would seem that things have been left pretty much untouched. Maybe they're leaving things be for now and start to shake things up a bit after the end of the season.
Anyone have any insights into how things are going to operate longer term with Pochettino at the helm?
@GraemeBailey: Portsmouth are battling to keep midfield ace Jed Wallace. They shunned offers from Brighton and Port Vale in January. http://t.co/5etDrB0V
@solentsport: #pompey boss Guy Whittingham may promote another player from the youth team rather than sign a replacement for departing Frankie Sutherland
Only 3 years too late...
Dublin's argument was that players tend to raise their game against the bigger sides (in a "nothing to lose" sense) ergo players go into a game like Man City with less pressure than against the likes of Wigan.
There's some logic there...
