  1. Micah Hall ‏@engagePompey Pompey staff celebrate passing the 9,000 season tickets barrier http://sdrv.ms/186OKFy
  2. Quick. Everyone take their positions on the bridges over the M3.... cameras and earlobe charts at the ready....
  3. Whilst I'm obviously happy that Wanyama is on the cusp of signing I still don;t see this as the one signing that will turn the heads of the rest of the premier league. This is more of an eyebrow raiser IMO. Someone like Damiao, Osvaldo or Banega would be a head turner...
  4. 'fraid not... http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?44154-Summer-2013-HCDAJFU-Transfer-thread&p=1731665&highlight=osvaldo#post1731665
  5. You'd be mistaking me for someone acting rationally. If someone killed one of my kids and got let out of prison I wouldn't be thinking or acting rationally.
  6. Yep. Sounds like a reasonable exchange for killing someone to me. If someone killed one of my children they would be much safer inside prison than outside... Just a different opinion of course.
  7. People are convicted by their peers, not politicians. We should give the decision on release to those same peers. IMO.
  8. See above. Don't ever let them out of their cells.
  9. If they are locked up and the key thrown away then it doesn't matter how violent or psychopathic they become. As long as there's somewhere in their cell to urinate and defecate, and there's a small slot in the wall to pass them bread and water, they won't affect anyone else.
  10. Tom Kennedy ‏@TomKennedy2013 Wanted wanyama at liverpool, **** off southampton
  11. Next to turn us down or next to sign?
  12. I'm in the 'Gaston will come good' opinion camp, but that doesn't rule out the possibility that he'll have a 'below expectations' season. I don't think holding the opinion that he might not turn out as good as we all hope he does is "lunacy". I think Alpine is more likely to be proved wrong than right. If Alpine starts forecasting snowfall in Southampton today then I might be moved to label him a crackpot
  13. Agree with all that. I just don't feel the need to "ridicule" someone else's opinion just because its the opposite of mine (Pompey fans excepted of course!) Anyway, we digress...
  14. Why is holding a different point of view "ridiculous"? I disagree with Alpine but its still a valid opinion.
  15. If its proven that someone was wrongly convicted then it doesn't matter at that stage whether we have a "life means life" policy or not. They would be let out regardless, would they not?
  16. I'd start with Rickie on the bench, push JRod up top and Adam in attacking midfield.
  17. I'm not convinced that Forren is 'in favour' with Pochettino (reading between the lines in last week's press conference). Unless we sign another CB I think our default pairing will be Yoshida and Lovren.
  18. It's the Jonas Brothers community that are going to find this news the hardest to take I reckon.
  19. Simple solution: let the victim's family decide when/whether the killer should be let out.
  20. Welcome back. Please post more often sir
  21. Never mention that to a pessimist...
