Nabil Hassan @NabilHassan79 PKF: "The court was made aware correspondence has been exchanged between Football League & Portpin which seems to lead to some ambiguity with the League's previous public statements no other bid would be considered at this late stage. We'll be seeking clarification from the League as a matter of urgency Nabil Hassan @NabilHassan79 PKF: "We hope that, in the next few days, the court will be able to set a specific date for this hearing." #pompey

Portsmouth FC @officialpompey Jeff Stelling's sign-off: "It's a victory made in #Pompey" Mark Littlewood @MarkJLittlewood I think Stelling's sign off should have been "It's a victory made in#Pompey.....and paid for by the British taxpayer"

Amusing to observe the number of Pompey fan tweets this morning lauding the "Pompey 2 Barcelona 0" result last night with no hint of irony that its these very players that kick-started Pompey's downfall and contributed to Pompey's current financial rot. Not the brightest bunch down there ("tell us something we don't already know Trousers")

I was looking for a "minor celeb" to turn up at a charity quiz night event I was organising about 10 years ago....phoned around a few agencies and the cheapest they could offer was "Big Ron from Eastenders" (the market stall holder who had one line a year!) and he was £2,500. We ended up 'pretending' to book Stu "I could crush a grape" Francis only to announce on the night that he had to cancel "due to unforeseen" circumstances (well, we thought it was amusing at the time...)

Enough money to source a c.£2m loan to a football club but not enough money to prevent a council tax rise.... ah, the hypocritical politics of Cloud Pompey Land.... http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/news/local/council-tax-increases-welcomed-1-4810706

A good opener. Another 4 lines and you'll have it cracked.

People in not liking the same music as other people shocker

Maybe remind him that Southampton FC were (are still?) a Pompey creditor (c.£33k IIRC) and also that Southampton fans also happen to be taxpayers ergo we have a vested interested in conversing with a Portsmouth "journalist" who might be able to assist with our grievances in respect of the money Pompey diddled out of the exchequer...

I meant from an observer's perspective. We're all observers in this instance (unless Mr Benali or Mr Cortese are looking in right now) ergo whatever the court decides will be the 'right' decision

Is there anyone who doesn't in any given court case?

Crikey....I'd better go and check my windows are ok....can't remember the last time they were cleaned!

Almost as weird as someone commenting how weird it is
-
Any idea why it's taken c.2.5 years to get to court if he was suing Cortese in 2010? Even Pompey takeover court cases don't take that long....

Nabil Hassan @NabilHassan79 #pompey Supporters Trust spokesman Colin Farmery says confirmation of court hearing is another "significant step": So, whenever the court case is adjourned it's "good news for the Trust because it gives us more time" yet when the case goes ahead it's "good news for the Trust because we're moving forward". Cake and eat it Mr Farmery? Nabil Hassan @NabilHassan79 Thursday's #pompey hearing to set date for full court case is likely to be fast-tracked I'm told so could be heard in full within two weeks.
