I wasn't comparing the reasons (if it were to happen). I was simply suggesting that the reactions would be largely the same - I.e. initial uproar followed by getting behind the next manager. I'm not casting any opinion on the hypothetical situation posed by the OP.

I would envisage the same sort of reaction that the Pardew sacking attracted. There would be plenty of 'hoo-ha' but give it a few games with a new manager and most people will have switched to short memory mode...
