  1. Greg Halford ‏@GregHalford15 I understand every fan worrying about Pompey. The players are as well. I would love to be able to answer everyone's questions Greg Halford ‏@GregHalford15 Tell ya what I'll do a Q and A either over the weekend or on Monday.
  2. And there's more....not a pretty sight.... Liam Buckler ‏@Liam_Buckler @GregHalford15 why can't you comprehend as a pompey player that you have to leave NOW? If you/ teammates fail to grasp this then we're dead Mick Williams ‏@mickwill @Liam_Buckler@GregHalford15 and players will get NOTHING in liquidation as well as everyone else. Sad times! #Pompey Phill Russell ™ ‏@Phill_Russell Those 8 senior players should be ashamed of themselves. Poor staff being sacrificed once again. Players aren't bigger than the club #Pompey Liam Buckler ‏@Liam_Buckler @mickwill@GregHalford15 baffles me that there are players still left. Oh, you really love the club? It really shows it. Ridiculous #pompey Greg Miles ‏@Greg_KOS_sport If #Pompey get liquidated because 8 already well paid footballers don't want to lower their wages demands, they will have to go into hiding. Russell ‏@RussellSFC Ben Haim remains on £35k per week yet normal members of staff of #Pompey get made redundant, absolute disgrace.
  3. And so the hounding begins....didn't expect it from an upstanding BBC journalist though.... Adam Blackmore ‏@bigadamsport With staff at #pompey now facing redundancy, some of the greedy senior players holding out for cash they don't need should be ashamed Adam Blackmore ‏@bigadamsport I'm not saying #pompey owners and boardroom's aren't responsible for mess, but NOW as things stand, there are players who could save jobs >>
  4. @officialpompey: Portsmouth Football Club statement: http://t.co/fM0i90Vk #pompey
  5. @pn_neil_allen: Trevor Birch says #Pompey will be liquidated before season starts unless the 8 senior players lower their money demands. More soon.
  6. Do keep up sir.... http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?14620-Pompey-Takeover-Saga&p=1417485#post1417485
  7. That'll be the typo in line 89
  8. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/midfielder-gives-pompey-deadline-to-sign-him-1-4076349 Anyone spot the flaw in Howard's thinking...?
  9. "With there being no direct appeal process, Pompey believe they could question the ruling if 75 per cent of those creditors indicate they are in favour of the new CVA approved in June." How will they know when they've reached 75%.....?
  10. Quick....change the thread title before the "Premier League not Premiership" pedants arrive on the scene.... And, yes, I do believe we will surprise a lot of people.
  11. Would be interesting to see a comparison between the total 'burn rate' figure for the last 6 months versus the overall figure the creditors have been offered this time around.
  12. Carlsberg don't do optimism beyond the call of duty, but if they did....
  13. For those who fancy watching a good comedy show tonight.... http://www.rockstream.tv/channels/sports/ https://www.facebook.com/RockStream.tv https://twitter.com/RockStreamTv
  14. Hmmm....so from that can we assume Adkins is not being completely straight about the situation in his recent Saints Player interviews?
  15. Sj Maskell ‏@SjMaskell One can only hope new owners will rescind this ticketing nonsense #Pompeyhttp://www.portsmouthfc.co.uk/LatestNews/news/Ticket-Booking-Policy-201213-3539.aspx Isn't this typical Pompey fan mentality? Ye olde 'something for nothing' business acumen? If a football club is to be run as a sustainable and self-funding business, surely the club should cover costs appropriately. Adding a non-profit making booking fee to ticket purchases to cover the transaction acquiring costs is the most transparent way of covering such costs, isn't it? Or am I missing something obvious here?
  16. because they want to keep it quiet that Pearson is coming back to us?
  17. Link lifted from the Gazzaniga thread (yes, "it's the Daily Star" etc), but you usually get 1 paragraph on any rumours from them and they've put a reporter's name to this one for a change... http://www.dailystar.co.uk/football/view/263105/Southampton-line-up-stunning-8m-swoop-for-PSV-star-Jeremain-Lens/ This may have legs I reckon....
  18. That's about 5 paragraphs longer than the Daily Star usually give to a potential Saints signing and have also put a reporter's name to the piece. Could me something in this me thinks.
