  1. Ah...there you go....so not "in full" as your average normal person would understand it to be, but "in full" in the la la la emotional blackmail land of PFC.....
  2. -----> The Football League (at last)
  3. Yes, but is that "pay in full" as in what they were originally owed or "pay in full" what they have been 'forced' to accept by way of a compromise settlement....?
  4. Yeah....but he "agreed" to it ergo they haven't failed to pay him what he has now agreed to be owed... That's how finances work down Pompey way... Carlsberg don't do moving goalposts, but if they did....
  5. @solentsport: Mokoena latest to depart Pompey: Portsmouth reach agreement with Aaron Mokoena over the termination of his contr... http://t.co/odMUwkVR
  6. SunSport Now ‏@SunSportNow Harry Redknapp has ruled himself out of the running for the Nottingham Forest manager's job. #nffc Well, that's tomorrow's headlines sorted then.... "Redknapp takes Forest job afterall"

    Lord Reforms

Weren't they narked at how hastily the reforms have been cobbled together rather than being against reforms per se? By delaying the reforms they could be argued to be working towards the "consensus" outlined in the manifesto. Just a hunch as I haven't followed this one very closely.
  8. One down.... @solentsport: Hayden Mullins completes move to Birmingham #pompey
  9. This part of that article caught my eye: "Kanu is not alone in approaching the Football League directly seeking payment of monies owed. Ex-directors David Lampitt, John Redgate and Nick Byrom did so in May, diverting vital distribution funds required by Pompey." Does that mean Lampitt, Redgate and Byrom have already received what they were owed under the Football Creditors' rule (via re-direction of the parachute payments)? If that's the case, then why hasn't this also happened with all the players, in order to recover their deferred/unpaid wages? All seems a tad inconsistent to me....

  13. Well, it's one way of getting players in without anyone noticing....
  14. Linkage? Cheers
  15. As you say, all comes down to personal preference in the end. I leave home at 7 and get back 12 hours later. Sad as it may sound I really like the 4 hours round commute each day - it's "me time" and is a nice separation between family life and work life. I can also work from home from time to time (yesterday and today for example) which also helps to break up the routine every fortnight or so. Been doing it for 26 years now and wouldn't want it any other way.
  16. But still a net gain (london weighting vs train fare)
  17. DLT doesn't do the Radio 1 breakfast show anymore? Since when?
  18. @pn_neil_allen: It is said if you lose something you should always look in the last place you saw it. Yes folks, Kanu is in Nigeria!!! #Pompey #whereskanu
  19. A slightly curious side note....'Moose' was doing a review of the newspaper sports pages earlier on TalkSport and he said: "I'm going to skip over the story on the back of The Sun" and indeed didn't mention the subject matter at all. I thought that was a tad odd but thought nothing more of it....until seeing this thread. I wonder why he fellt the need to skip over it? He wasn't backwards in coming forwards last season to have a dig at us after the Sharp 'incident' at the West Ham game. Anyway. as I say, just a slightly curious side note.
  20. I've worked in London for 26 years. It's a splendid place to work. Fact-a-mondo. :-)
