@pn_neil_allen: #Pompey will bid farewell to almost all their players tomorrow. Sadly off the pitch those that caused this mess keep on haunting the club.
-
Any talk of us not going up is a phallusy!
-
Cheers Moff. Feeling quite emotional about tomorrow now.
-
You're saying they're long over due an away win...? ;-)
-
I had a bit of a spat with a work colleague earlier.... (a Spurs fan as it happens) Every now and then I'll drop Pompey's cheating of the tax payer out of tens of millions of pounds into conversation and today he replied: "isn't it about time you stopped banging on about that and just let it go?" To which I replied: "when you Labour voters stop banging on about cuts to public services I'll stop banging on about football clubs spunking the equivalent amount on buying the FA Cup" He went a bit quiet thereafter...
-
Ah, yes, that could be it. Cheers

Erm .. Unless I'm Mistaken I don't recall Tilly Baker being represented at the creditors meeting yesterday nor are they on the creditors committee that was appointed? As I say, I may have completely missed it

@pn_neil_allen: #Pompey player firesale poised to begin. http://t.co/MsAtsooL

Happy anniversary to the Paul Allen 'rumour'.... http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/markets/article-1609480/Microsoft-man-to-bid-for-Southampton-FC.html 5 years ago? By 'eck....don't time fly when you're having fun...!
-
Feck. I've started feeling queasy 24 hours too early. Sitting on the train to work, stomach already churning. Come on Trousers - pull yourself together man - you should be enjoying this!
-
I still think we should let in two early goals on purpose to lead West Ham into a false sense of security.... ;-)
-
That's a very good question. And one that I've also been asking over the last few months but nobody seems to know. All I do know is that Pompey seem to have managed to turn £138m of debt (or whatever AA's "valuation" of the debt was at the time of CVA1) into a few million in the space of 2 years. Paul Daniels eat your heart out.

Absolutely. Indeed, one could argue that defaulting on an agreed CVA is worse (morally and logically) than not agreeing a CVA in the first place. At least with the latter the creditors know where they stand from 'day 1'. With no penalty whatsoever for failing to honour a CVA, each and every creditor is effectively in a state of limbo for years on end. If anything, the penalty for failing to honour a CVA should be greater than the penalty for not having one in the first place. IMHO of course.
-
This is reliant on the Football League exercising their discretionary powers as they don't have any rules that cover failed CVAs...

Why does it matter so much if one's telephone number is stored incorrectly. As long as I can use the online system I'm not fussed of they don't have a valid telephone number for me or not. Indeed, it's preferable if they don't :-)
