Maybe Adkins was being proactive rather than reactive. If the state of the playing surface was causing Lallana some problems due to his natural style of play (twists and turns etc, then Adkins may have simply pulled him off to stop the likelihood of a more serious injury. Yes, you can argue that the state of the pitch was known before the game started but sometimes a manager is damned if he does, damned If he doesn't.

Maybe include useful info like this in the opening post then...? :-)
