  1. "They owe £1.9m in unpaid tax to HMRC and on Friday it emerged that the club are also still paying off between £4m - £7m from the previous regime." The above "emerged on Friday"....FFS...isn't Tony Husband referring to the 20p in the £1 tax that PFC are yet to pay from the previous CVA....? Only just emerged my arse!
  2. Neil Allen @pn_neil_allen So the PL give #Pompey £1m early from parachute payment. The question is how will that money now be spent? Wages? Debts? HMRC contribution? I love the way he lists "debts" separately to "HMRC contribution"....as if the latter aren't actually a debt....
  3. But enough for the courts and/or HMRC to take pity on them and thus defer the WUP?
  4. Why on Earth would the Premier League decide to give all clubs their money early? What possible scenario would spark such a decision? #justacoincidencethatPompeyneededthecash
  5. Someone's making up therules as they go along, that's f' sure. Can't the rest of the Championshipship clubs object based on unfair advantage....?
  6. @TonyHusbandBBC: #bbcsportsday #pompey All PL clubs and those entitled to parachute money were paid early, so money offers short term boost to #pompey @TonyHusbandBBC: #bbcsportsday #pompey therefore the paying of the instalment wasn't designed to help one club, although timing useful for #pompey Do what...?
  7. Tony Husband @TonyHusbandBBC #bbcsportsday #pompey PL to release parachute instalment early to help Portsmouth's finances. Full story to follow. FFS.....here we go again......more rule bending....thread extended for another 6 months....
  8. Warnock....?
  9. It's nothing to do with us Guv....this is all OldCo stuff.... Does this logic mean the current Portsmouth Football Club have no claim to previous "triumphs"? Or would that be too consistent and un-hypocritical?
  10. It would seem the Pompey faithful are getting rattled by their local newspaper printing the truth....and as intellectual as ever....

  12. ^ Trousers agrees with this
  13. Mick McCarthy sacked. No surprise there.
  14. I'm in the West Ham end with a Hammers supporting mate. Gonna be a frustrating night one way or the other!
  15. @pn_neil_allen: #Pompey owe £360,000 to two Australian clubs. Ryan Williams was sold for £295,000 but £110,00 of that is due to ECU Joondalup. And there was me thinking that trading whilst insolvent was against the law...
  16. I have one question.... Just how wealthy is Mr. Chainrai? I know people don't get filthy rich by writing off £17m "investments" but I'm sure a 'seriously rich' person would have written off their Pompey gamble by now. Which, leads me to believe that Chainrai, whilst richer than you or I, can't be in the 'seriously rich' bracket, can he? How rich is he in the general scheme of things? Perhaps he simply can't afford to write off what would be small change for the likes of, say, the Liebherr family (rubbing-salt-into-the-wounds comparison very much intended) Lancing a boil or chopping off an arm and a leg?
  17. Nope....many more groundhog days to come yet I suspect....
  18. Old Speckled Hen here.
  19. Afternoon all. So, what have I missed? I assume we're still tumbling down the league after yet another woeful performance?
  20. Source? (cheers) :-) Who is representing PFC at this meeting?
  21. They aren't having any police for the home game vs Ipswich on Tuesday...
  22. Barnsley v Birmingham just called off
