  1. It's ok....they've re-worded it now....I think they got away with it.....no-one noticed apart from us....
  2. Same old Tories!! ;-)
  3. Matt Partridge @mjpartridge1 @pn_neil_allen I love how UHY told the News that the collapse of NOS would 'have no affect on #pompey' Retweeted by Neil Allen Pompey fan in "I should have checked the Saints Web Forum rather than rely on the local media" shocker.... http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/news/campaigns/passion-for-portsmouth/news/administrators_say_criticism_by_club_is_unfair_1_3454832 THE administrators of Pompey’s parent company CSI have defended themselves against criticisms from the club. Yesterday Portsmouth Football Club said in a statement that it was given assurances by UHY Hacker Young and Portpin Ltd that the club would be funded until a new owner was found. ‘This has not happened,’ it added. But a partner in the accountancy firm and joint CSI administrator, Peter Kubik, said the firm had not withheld any information from the club at any point since they were appointed. He said: ‘We believed that we could put money into Portsmouth to keep it going while an owner was found. ‘The jewel in the crown of CSI’s assets was North One Sports which held the rights to the World Rally Championship. ‘We were not able to sell it because the FIA cancelled the licence. ‘Before that happened we had a very seriously interested party talking to us before Christmas. They pulled out at the last minute and we still do not know why.’
  4. Trying out clever humour is always a Hazzard on here

  6. Anyway, when will they be holding the referendum for the rest of the UK citizens? All we've heard about thus far is the Scottish people's right to vote on the break up of the UK....
  7. Or....'should Scotland separate from the UK?' Or, use the same phraseology that was used for the Northern Ireland sovereignty referendum in 1973: "Do you want Northern Ireland to remain part of the United Kingdom?"
  8. Frottage
  9. You're right. I've just read it back and you were indeed more ambiguous than I gave you credit for... ;-)
  10. As much trouble as Ken Dodd's dad's dog?
  11. Now we're getting somewhere... ;-)
  12. And the kit man's son heard it from...? (this could be s long evening)
  13. Not in my daughter's Catholic school it isn't. My daughter couldn't be anymore sceptical about religion if she tried and the school don't discourage this. Her RE lessons objectively cover all faiths as well as atheism and agnosticism (if that's a word?!)
  14. Agree with a lot of what you say there. People conveniently forget that Labour planned to cut at pretty much the same rate as the Tories. For every £18 of 'Tory cuts' Labour had planned to cut £17 (or thereabouts). So they are being a tad disingenuous and opportunistic when painting a picture that suggests their cuts would have been far less severe. Alastair Darling's speeches and interviews just before the general election are revealing.
  15. It would have been a lot higher without the Tory intervention so it is a reduction in relative terms... Cue the predictable Trousers put down from Mr V... ;-)
  16. I see what you did there.... ;-)
  17. Ssshhhhhh.....
  18. 1/2: @pn_neil_allen: RT @pompeyblue1980: So HMRC issued the petition to wind us #pompey up on the 3rd of Jan so the club have known about this for a while Sharp as a sponge this Pompey lot...
  19. I wouldn't know as I don't work in the banking sector.... ;-)
  20. Yes, because their forecasts are being revised down. Yes, they start higher but they are falling at relatively the same rate as the likes of ourselves, USA, etc. Try throwing a cat out of the window from several different skyscraper floors and see which direction it goes in. (you may need more than one pussy for this experiment)
  21. Oops, sorry...added my dog reference to my post before seeing yours. Great minds and all that :-)
  22. So, the court is sitting half an hour early tomorrow to take a video call from Monaco...any idea who that'll be? HSBC bank manager perhaps? The Monaco Home for Retired Investment Dogs?
  23. Crikey. An obscure stat like that is certainly giving MLG a run for his money!
  24. Well, at least that explains what happened to Rosie....
