Will the same happen for CVA2...i.e. the football creditors get to vote again....100% for them and 2p of 20p of £1 for the mugs (aka non-football creditors)
-
I find it incredible that it doesn't even seem to occur to a decent journalist to pursue this line of enquiry with those involved in this particular case. I know that our nut job tendencies make us more up to speed with what happened with CVA1 but for the journalist community to airbrush it en masse is baffling. How many interviews does there have to be with any of the main characters in this farce before a journo asks an insightful question on behalf of the small creditors who are in the same position now as they would have been had there been no CVA1 in the first place? Journos should be asking the football league why their punishment system(s ) are based on intentions (suspect or otherwise) rather than the outcome of those intentions. Edit: FFS

Because the media have short term memories and a poor grasp of context? Journos are more interested in today's headlines than yesterday's facts...

Isn't that a bit like a time traveller heading back to April 1912 and announcing to the world that the Titanic will set sail from Southampton on time...?

"anymore "? What was /is his forum name? (discreet PMs accepted in confidence) :-)

Naughty...

Please humour me whilst I meander off topic briefly, but reading posts that mention "against Man Utd away" (and suchlike) reminds me of how far we've come in so little time. The phrase "moist with anticipation" springs to mind... :-)

@pn_neil_allen: @MatthewLeGod What do you care? You are from Southampton - unlike AOC - so read your own paper. What a sad obsessed individual you are.
-
@pn_neil_allen: @MatthewLeGod Obsessed. Born, raised, schooled, lived in the city until the age of 17. Does that not mean he is from Portsmouth then?
-
@pn_neil_allen: @MatthewLeGod You are obsessed with this subject, it is all rather strange. The sun's shining go outside and play. Move on.

I'm quite liking that

@pn_neil_allen: Interesting @SuppDirect interview with new CEO David Lampitt. Sounds plausible enough.. http://t.co/IYeIzRA8 #Pompey

Yep, deffo lots of factors at play and, yep, the current system works ok if you've got decent coaches across the board....but that'a a different thread altogether... :-) Maybe the Spanish et al are wrong and we're right....who knows....
-
I guess that remains to be seen. My hunch is that it will go some way to achieving the aim of encouraging closer control and passing. I certainly noticed a change in mentality - both from players and managers - when my lad's team went from small U10 pitches to full size U11 pitches. The quality of football on display deteriorated (not insignificantly) at a time where it should have improved. Ok, I accept there are many factors at play here, not just pitch sizes, but it's a significant contributory factor IMO. The smaller pitches and teams seems to work in other (more successful) parts of Europe so I'm all for giving it a go.

Don't the oil fields belong to the UK....or the Crown Estate to be more precise?
-
Agree that there are logistical challenges but surely finding the solution to these stumbling blocks has got to be preferable to the way we disregard what's best for kids' development at such a crucial age?
-
Good news...the FA at last wakes up to a sensible policy for youth football in this country....no more hoof ball for U11s and U12s on pitches that are far too big for them.
-
We didn't. In the same way we're not going to get a say on the potential breaking up of the United Kingdom (or ' 'Scottish Independence' as some like to call it.

What a crazy notion....

Good to see he was born at St. Mary's hospital though....

Breaking News: The court has been interrupted by a shouting protester, calling Mr Blair a war criminal.

No idea to be honest....I lost the plot on who owned Pompey and when a long time ago. I'm sure the waters are muddy enough for the Football League to take the course they feel most comfortable with going forward....
