1. Hands up those who have been banging on about Ward-Prowse for months...
2. With a dash of Groundhog Day thrown in for good measure.
3. Two left backs...?
4. @jordansibley: On the bench for Saints: Kelvin Davis, Lee Holmes, Jonathan Forte, Ben Reeves, Luke Shaw, Jack Stephens, Sam Hoskins #saintsfc
5. North One Sport (a CSI subsidiary) have had their WRC contract terminated by the FIA. So, the broadcast rights haven't been sold by North One Sport (aka CSI), they've had the rights taken away from them by the WRC's governing body....ergo there's nothing to sell....

7. The impending closure of North One Sports must surely be a blessing in disguise for CSI... The only significant asset (*chuckle*) they are now left with is Portsmouth Football Club. Given we know that PFC is a healthy solvent company in its own right (*chortle*) this surely means that CSI automatically comes out of administration because they are now one economic entity with a football club that aren't in administration....
8. This is slightly random but I was watching 3-2-1 with Ted Rogers on Quest TV last night and thought of Bob Holness for some reason. Slightly spooky
9. I know you like putting words in my mouth (amongst other things) but "quite amused" hardly translates to "peels of laughter" ;-)
10. No. Quite the opposite. Knowing how daft the comments were and the inevitable knee jerk 'furore' that followed I found the whole thing quite amusing. Southampton losing a game of football. Now there's a genuine cause for displeasure. Some daft comments from a slightly batty politician? Nah.
11. Does the Macpherson report distinguish between someone taking actual offence and someone feigning offence because they think they ought to be offended? I'm yet to meet anyone who was genuinely offended by what Abbott said. Yes, I've met plenty of people who think she was daft to say what she said but no-one who was actually offended by it, in the true sense of the word. Has anyone genuinely felt the following emotions upon reading Abbott's words? of·fend (-fnd)v. of·fend·ed, of·fend·ing, of·fends v.tr.1. To cause displeasure, anger, resentment, or wounded feelings in. 2. To be displeasing or disagreeable to: Onions offend my sense of smell. 3. a. To transgress; violate: offend all laws of humanity. b. To cause to sin. v.intr.1. To result in displeasure: Bad manners may offend. 2. a. To violate a moral or divine law; sin. b. To violate a rule or law: offended against the curfew.

Adj. 1. offended - hurt or upset; "she looked offended"; "face had a pained and puzzled expression"

Villa?

Cheers all - appreciate the feedback
13. Why not? What's wrong with eating dogs compared to any other animal? Would it be wrong to sing a song about Cortese and pasta?
14. Are you able to divulge how you came to know him, even if only a subtle hint? For example, is it in a professional or personal capacity? Excuse one's curiosity :-)
15. Or...they picked the 'wrong' Milliband at the 'right' time. Picking the 'weaker' brother early in a parliament where they knew their previous record on the economy wouldn't be held in a particularly good light, and then replace him with the 'stronger' brother a year or so before the next election when certain sections of the general public are likely to be crying out for a fresh dynamic political leader, could turn out to be a masterstroke by the Labour party....
16. However, she's just created another juicy chapter for her next auto-biography. You lose some, you win some...

Villa?

Up to £5k all in (flights, accomodation, food, drink)
18. And when have you ever known our Nige to give a 100% candid view of who we're signing and when? If Nige is giving off signals that it's not imminent then that's normally a cue for us to expect an announcement in the next few hours ;-)
19. WTF?! And this, ladies and gentleman, is why human beings should need to apply for a breeding licence before they are allowed to procreate!

Villa?

The Trousers household are contemplating a villa holiday this year. Somewhere warm and sunny with a private pool. Last 2 weeks in August earmarked. Does anyone know anyone who knows someone who has such a place to rent out or can recommend a property they've stayed at before? Preference is for renting privately from the owner as the likes of James Villas no doubt add a whopping commission onto their prices. Cheers for any leads or suggestions. Don't have a particular country in mind yet...just at the net casting stage at the moment
21. Indeed. There is a (slightly warped) train of thought that says we've probably been too successful in the first 4 months of the season. Had we been coming up on the rails rather than leading the pack the pressure for the remainder of the season would have been less.
22. Powerful unions that are stuck in the past?
23. Did anyone ask how or why a parent company that is comprised solely of financially buoyant subsidiary companies can go into administration in the first place?
24. But is that her fault? If the media and general public didn't whip themselves up into a frenzy everytime someone like Abbot, Clarkson, etc said something clumsy or provocative then it wouldn't become a distraction in the first place. It's the people that get most "offended" by this stuff that actually end up raising the profile of it thus helping to create a situation that they claim to dislike. Try putting a wet blanket on the fire rather than lighter fuel perhaps? Or perhaps that doesn't satisfy people's craving to be offended at least 7 times a day...
25. Yes. I worked with a Peruvian lady in 2007. Guinea pig is a national dish :-) http://www.shelfordfeast.co.uk/guineapig.html
