  1. Happy to explain.... My rationale (aka "gut feel") is that I can't see Brighton losing at home to Peterborough, despite Peterborough doing "pretty well" at the moment (Brighton aren't performing too shabbily themselves at the moment either....) Ergo, I would be surprised if we went top of the league at the weekend. That said, 24 hours ago I'd have been surprised if we put 6 past Oldham....
  2. Who is your mate's source? Cheers
  3. Welsh international Doble? And I'm sure if we'd asked the same question this time last year and someone came back with the answer: "Chamberlain" we'd have been underwhelmed about that too...
  4. "Get on board, get on board Get on board with the double deckers" We can keep this one up our sleeves for after we've won the league and cup double.
  5. Just told my 10 year old son the score. Don't think I've ever seen a broader smile on his face.
  6. Does indeed seem to be on the cards: http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Axed-Preston-manager-Darren-Ferguson-is-set-for-a-sensational-second-stint-as-manager-of-Peterborough-the-club-he-left-after-a-fall-out-with-the-hierarchy-just-over-15-months-ago-article670925.html Fergie Jnr returns to Peterborough Darren Ferguson is set for a sensational return as Peterborough boss after an amazing offer from the League One outfit. Ferguson took Posh to back-to-back promotions and into the Championship before a fall-out with the hierarchy cost him his job just over 15 months ago. But now the son of Manchester United chief Sir Alex is in talks with Peterborough’s owners about a dramatic second spell in charge at London Road – and he seems sure to accept.
  7. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1346260/Liverpool-step-pursuit-Southamptons-10m-rated-Alex-Oxlade-Chamberlain.html Liverpool step up their pursuit of Southampton's £10m-rated starlet Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain By Sportsmail Reporter Last updated at 11:01 PM on 11th January 2011 Liverpool are ready to step up their pursuit of Southampton’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain after Manchester United joined the race to sign him. Liverpool’s director of football strategy Damien Comolli watched the 17-year-old score against Oldham last night in the Saints' 6-0 drubbing at Boundary Park - but was joined in the stands by United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
  8. Double figures anyone?! Bournemouth are away to Colchester on Friday night so we could be back in 3rd come Saturday. Brighton are at home to Peterborough so chances of us going top this weekend are pretty slim I'd have thought.
  9. Blimey - didn't realise Oldham had been down here that long
  10. This
  11. Goosebumps earlier and now I'm starting to well up again.....the great man will be looking proudly down at us now.....Bless you sir
  12. Can the config settings be changed on the fly? I would say start backwards from only allowing paid members and then flick a switch to introduce registered users if all is OK. I'd be surprised if this isn't a dynamic settings rather than something that needs a reboot or suchlike. All people are asking for is a bit of proactivity for a commercial (not for profit) service. The last thing anyone wants is for the owners of this forum to fall foul of UK consumer law (charging for a service that can't be fullfilled)
  13. I know this thread will be closed soon but, seriously guys, something proactive needs to be done. Let's try next matchday with only paid members having access to the 'Saints' sub forum. We need to ensure that a commercial (non profit) venture such as this doesn't start breaching consumer laws. Seriously.
  14. Anyone got a link to a SSN stream? cheers
  15. Adkins just quizzed about Puncheon in Solent post match interview - confirmed he was too ill to travel but Nigel sounded a little unconvincing - said he would be back in training on Thursday and, perhaps tellingly, said "those that wanted to be on the bus to Oldham were on the bus - simple as that"....or words to that effect....reading between the line I don't think Puncheon was up for it....
  16. Anyone else got goosebumps?
  17. Adkins on Solent now.....thing that impressed him most was Guly chasing back like mad on 94 minutes to prevent Oldham getting a consolation. Says it all to me.....excuse me while I wipe away a tear.....getting a bit emotional....
  18. Best thing for me is that there were 6 different scorers
