  1. So, leftback must have a direct connection with one of the players? Or, who else does Nigel Adkins announce the team to 24 hours in advance of the game?
  2. It's about winning games of football. Simple as that.
  3. I've got a feeling we'll narrowly lose this one. That said, being an idiotic Daily Mail reader I'm quite often wrong.
  4. You watch them get Boxing Day wrong though
  5. As long as you write: "THIS IS A QUOTE FROM BRASS EYE" in a font the size of a cow then you'll be fine :-)
  6. Brilliant retort
  7. In my humble opinion, I don't think the numbers involved is particularly relevant. It only took 0.000002% of British muslims (4 out of 2,000,000) to kill 52 people and bring the capital of the UK to a standstill on 7/7/2005. Was that insignificant? It's not the absolute number of extremists that matters. It's what they end up doing, surely? Anyway, I thought all non-Tories were big fans of generalisations....e.g. "All Daily Mail readers are idiots"? ;-) Yours, Trousers (Daily Mail Reading Idiot)
  8. Showing Oxford English dictionary definitions on here falls on death ears I'm afraid......especially when trying to correct people about festive holiday dates.....
  9. Yes, it's OTT. Why do some people interpret (poor) attempts at humour as literal statements?
  10. With apologies to Mehball..... Ah, the dumbing down of traditions. That's what I love about this country. What's next? Armistice Day when that becomes too far in the past for anyone to care? The institutions you refer to (BBC, Governments, NHS) have taken the lazy route because they have to cater for the lowest common denominator in society. To use them to justify the lapse is actually backing up my pedantic and petty argument. Nutshell. It's simpler. QED Ok, enough annoying guff from me....well, for another 5 years or so.... ;-)
  11. It's either Dusty Bin or the speedboat. Am I warm?
  12. What's the equivalent cost of driving? (parking, petrol, wear and tear, pro-rata car insurance/car tax, tube, etc)....?
  13. Am I the only one who thinks it's good that these people can say and do what they like (within legal boundaries)? They are simply highlighting the freedom that our forefathers fought for. And, furthermore, the more they shout down this country the more they highlight their hypocrisy. Their aim is to make people angry. I simply refuse to rise to their bait.
  14. Graduates earning that figure will pay less under the "ConDems" than they currently do under the tuition fees introduced by Labour . Let's all storm the Labour HQ in protest....hmmm.....
  15. Connolly? Treatment Room? You sure?
  16. No. Well, not for the next 5 or so years after this year as it gets nice and simple for those who can't work out the difference between a bank holiday and a day of tradition when they both fall on the same day. ;-)
  17. P o p p y c o c k It's nothing to do with bank holidays. Boxing day existed long before someone invented back holidays. Ffs
  18. You're on. Do we have a venue for the tossing?
  19. Apart from when they're double bluffing of course
  20. Oi! Beat you by 1 minute: http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?26370-Saints-Pardew-fiasco-to-enter-spotlight&p=890821#post890821 ;-)
