Was going to highlight the same. How can Wenger be "stepping up the pressure" when there have been "no talks yet between the clubs"....? (unless the sending of a contract offer by taxi consititues "stepping up the pressure"...?)

Could be, and a good business strategy. The more players in the same position that we're seen to be going for can help contain the asking price as it generates an element of competitiveness between the selling clubs. A good way to counteract the "ay oop, here come moneybags Southampton with a bid for our player. Let's up the price" Didn't we do something similar with Fonte and that Shaw chap last season? Or was that Seabourne?

I believe it's a UEFA stipulation that they have the stadium at their disposal for a 'wind down' period after the game. I can't remember where I read that, and it doesn't make a huge amount of sense, but i'm pretty sure it's a UEFA rule that the stadium can't be 'released' straight after the final.

It's all very well saying "get rid of him" but Adkins will have to get used to dealing with many more prima donnas in the team when/if we reach the premier league again....

Which make one wonder how he ever got into the League 1 team if the year (I think he did, didn't he? Apologies if I'm ringing the wrong bell)

No shame in saying that...indeed, some of us were warning of the 'cup effect' before the Blackpool game...

I find using Tapatalk is quite useful in that it displays the latest 'hot topics' (on my default view) but that often means losing sight of any threads that aren't "top 10" at any moment in time. Modern technology....pah!

The positive for me is that we're in a mini blip but still in a strong position. We've had these blips before and then gone onto another strong run. Sometimes you have to take one step back to take several steps forward (as they say in cliche land)
