In this hypothetical scenario, I think a team would be "allowed" to play with 10 men if the 11th man was on the pitch at the start of the game, if only for a second. I assume a player leaving the field of play is allowed to return at any time during the course of the game....or is there a time limit...? But, as you say, it's not about starting with 10 men per se, it's about teams adopting the same tactics with 11 men as they often do when reduced to 10 men. Meanwhile, back in the real world... :-)

They report on the outrage of others but I can't see any overt editorial opinion within the article. Never let a sweeping statement get in the way of the facts I say. That's it. Biting over. This "embarrassment" factor is all relative. Lady Trousers is of the opinion that all football supporters are conceptually embarrassing. Grown men chanting and shouting at 11 other grown men running around after a football. But there again, she reads the Daily Mail ergo her opinion is obviously worthless. ;-)

Typical non-Tory These 'salesmen' are typically put out there by some of the big fat cat companies who know they can exploit the vulnerable by leaning on the sympathy factor of poor people trying hard to earn a living. Sole traders I have sympathy for. Stooges set up by large companies I don't.
