  1. Anyone know who was on 3 points after 9 games last season....just so that we can work out which team JP meant to refer to in the OS article in question? Hull City perhaps?
  2. Agree. I posted last season that it was "crazy" for our team to come out of the tunnel at the start of the game and run over to the Chapel Stand, leaving the opposition team to run over to the Northam stand to be greeted by loud(er) applause. (Ok, I know that the Saints fans in the Northam aren't cheering for the opposition but the general 'wall of sound' from that end must inspire the opposition regards of who it's aimed at).... When I raised this I got the wonderful explanation that our dressing room was nearer the chapel end and it was somehow far too 'complicated' for the players to swap over positions before coming out of the tunnel - I know footballers aren't going to trouble mensa in their droves but come on...."Complicated"....?! Give me strength. And I guess it's this running out to the Chapel end that more often than not results in us playing to the Chaepl end in the second half (because most teams can't be ar5ed to swap ends when they win the toss) One word: Epiglotis
  3. This is my favourite JP quote from the OS: "West Brom last year had just three points after 9 games and were eventually crowned champions" One word: 'Perspective'
  4. Absolutely. That's just the point....there's no accountability for them to explain what went wrong....either morally or legally. Poor.
  5. Fridays are better than Sundays....
  6. Plan? What plan? Where is there a shred of evidence there was ever a "plan"? Even LifeLong had a plan....OK...it was titled "The Future of Saints: Cloud Cuckoo Land" but AT LEAST he had a plan. Where is Fulthorpe's plan? That's all I ask.
  7. Alas, Fulthorpe will say nothing. The 'game' these people play is a 'no lose' situation for speculators like them..... If they get a deal together they will shout "look how wonderful we are" from the rooftops, whereas if their approach proves to be unsuccessful they will shrink off into the background without any obligation, moral or otherwise, to explain to supporters what was wrong with their business plan. Simple. As. That.
  8. Conspiracy Theories R Us observation alert.... Quite a long denial for something that's not true.... What is it that psychologists say about people that answer a question with much more information than the original question warrants.....?
  9. SaintsWeb poster in jump to conclusion shocker
  10. Humble opinion alert.... Friday night before a game on the Saturday seems like a strange time for routine/planned maintenance.....
  11. I pretty much agree. Winning is everything at the end of the day (Brian).
  12. Underhand? Subterfuge? It's what he would have wanted...
  13. Nail. Head. I raised this at the time that the corner closure was announced. As you say, it leaves less seats for a 'parent and child' combination at reduced prices. Ok, yes, the family corner is still there but the club are missing the point if that's the only explanation for reducing the overall number of cheaper seats. Madness. Edit: I've just tried to think of a reason why kids rates don't apply to ANYWHERE in the ground and can't think of one. I can see why you might want such restrictions when demand outstrips supply but in today's poor attendance climate it's a completely arbitrary restriction.
  14. Supply and demand
  15. Anyway, back to these potentially interesting earlobes in the Director's box last night.....
  16. Dramatic change in what area? Apologies, I was trying to be as tangential as possible and probably succeeded too well....
  17. Hmmmm..... ...I wonder how long will it be before some conspiracy theorist links our failure to secure middle east funds with an allegded "drink problem" too....not me, that's for sure. Good luck
  18. Nice guess. Care to predict a takeover date?

Indeed - I posted a couple of weeks ago that Forecast must be chuffed to have left Spurs "for more first team football".....
  20. Earlobe report?

Refreshing attitude. It's what the game is sadly lacking these days. Saints legend in the making.
  22. Rest assured, nothing beats arshavin
  23. If we were top of the table we'd be paying attention to it now and saying how wonderful it was, so I don't see why we shouldn't pay attention to it now just because it's not what we want to see.
  24. Firstly, apologies for a new thread on the general subject matter of "why are we struggling" but I felt this one need a bit of homing in on treatment.... Here goes... There's something I don't understand.... When I came back from holiday at the beginning of September there was a sense of euphoria in the air following reportedly superb performances and results against Derby and Birmingham. My question is, what are the players and/or management doing differently now to then? Or is it a simple fact that Birmingham and Derby were so bad on the days we met them that it led us to think that this new set-up was working despite the pre-season cynicism in some quarters? If the answer is: "the other teams were bad" then what happens the next time we beat a half decent side...? Will we get the usual "that's grand, we've turned the corner again" or will there be a little less euphoria the next time we win two on the trot? So what is it? Something has changed? Or Birmingham and Derby had an off day?
  25. Where would NP have got the necessary funds from?
