Caught some of what Dragan said at tonight's awards ceremony... Something about him seeing Saints as a "dream factory" where young players can go enroute to fulfilling their ambitions... Or words to that effect.... Nothing revelationary there... Just underlining from the horse's mouth what our modus operandi is, and will be going forward... i.e. buying young potential and selling would be 'superstars'....

I see we've gone "A-List" with our choice of end of season awards compere this evening. Maybe this is a symbol of our ambitious to come in the transfer window this summer....?

I thought League One fixtures were done and dusted?

Supporting Saints in itself is up there in the bravery stakes...

You've got to look at it from the doom-and-gloom brigade's point of view though.... The worst-case-scenario will inevitably come true one season and then they get to play their "told you so" cards and pat themselves on the back for being so insightful...

Yes, I know. I was attempting to suggest, in a slightly sarcastic fashion, that every result counts as much as any other, regardless of when in the season it was.

My favourite Saintsweb thing is people selectively remembering what people say every season...

Why have those two matches 'saved our bacon' rather than, say, the draw vs Man City in September and the win vs Spurs in February? (There were a few other favourable results I could have picked at random)

Yep, it happened

Where have you seen these snippets? Cheers

Way too low in the current market IMO

I'm interested in @Henri Manie's view on this one. William Smallbone to start?

The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.

It's a win-win for me: seeing them struggle in the championship vs just missing out on promotion from division 3 year after year. I've been leaning towards the former for a while now. Happy days.

The things is, there are several examples of players leaving Saints for bigger clubs where it hasn't worked out (and, yes, of course, the opposite is true as well). It doesn't automatically follow that his chances of making the world cup squad increase if he makes a move to a bigger club. If anything, it could be argued that it's a bigger risk going to a bigger club as there's less chance he'll be a regular starter.
