  1. Cheers. Thanks for the insight... appreciated
  2. Just back from the game. One of the more interesting 436 mile round trips I've had (re: the road conditions!) A game of two halves... Literally One observation: Lemina looked strangely subdued today - looks a bit unfit? Wembley here we come
  3. ...
  4. I'm not planning on driving back within the next 4 hours
  5. Made it! Hardly any snow up here. Roads were fine after M6 Toll. COYR!
  6. At Stafford services. Well, that was fun. Took me half an hour to get up the hill near my house. The M3 and M25 were OK but the M40 was dodgy in places. Roads much clearer after the M6 Toll road.
  7. Heading out now. Mental road conditions in North East Hampshire... Might see you there!
  8. Source? (Horse's mouth vs Twitter rumour.... Or somewhere in between?) Cheers
  9. Anyone know what kit we're wearing tomorrow? Asking for my son....
  10. Cheers for the heads up John Boy. That's my usual route. So, M4 -> A34 -> M40 it is then
  11. Excellent results. Just need to beat West Ham now....
  12. Hughes to send down Stoke... Headline writers duly poised
  13. There isn't much snow forecast for the Wigan area over the next 48 hours, so zero chance of the game being called off I would venture. Possible significant snow forecast down here though, so you've probably made the right move by staying over half way up. Indeed, you might be the only one who makes it. Be sure to cheer on the lads for us
  14. Good to see his namesake at the game, along with Mr Reed
  15. I thought it was a bit odd earlier when I noticed they've stopped selling them on the OS. Appreciate its too late to post them out, but one would have thought they would keep the remaining tickets on sale for collection from the ticket office only. I guess they might still sell them to anyone who enquires in person
  16. He's actually quite a likeable chap, now that he's rid himself of the stigma of managing Entitled FC
  17. Hesketh in the senior squad one assumes?

  19. Looking at the wording on the OS, it sounds like we had to agree to it rather than it being imposed on us.... It says "the two clubs came to an agreement to move the game" (or words to that effect).

  22. The Echo have done a word-for-word transcript of the press conference... http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/16093108.BIG_INTERVIEW__Hughes_speaks_for_the_first_time_as_Saints_boss/
  23. I almost caveated my post with that, knowing there would be a clever cloggs who'd mention it....
  24. Just watched it on the club's facebook feed (replay here: ). It's such a breath of fresh air having a manager whose native tongue is English. I'm not saying that from any kind of bigoted/parochial persepective, it's simply that nothing gets lost in translation so you get straight and indepth answers to straight questions. For example, towards the end one of the journos asked about Austin's fitness.... cue Hughes explaining his current status and how they are going to try to get him fit for West Ham. Contrast that with the generic and sketchy "he's still a few weeks away" responses we've had previously. I'm convinced it's as much to do with language and the translation thereof that hinders the likes of Pellegrino and Puel in press conferences.
