There's still a part of me that actually hopes they get promoted as that will be the trigger for them to start spending beyond their means. They've struggled in Division 4 even with the advantage they have over other clubs in terms of match day income. Just imagine how much more they'll struggle in Division 3 with the same resources. The temptation to overspend in order to be 'competitive' will be irresistible and is likely to lead to another crash. Whether that is more entertaining than watching them bumble along in Division 4 for another season (or more) is a close run thing. One thing is certain, there's still plenty of amusement coming our way whether they get promoted or not.
