Yep, that's how it works when in 'reactive mode'. I think FF was simply suggesting that the Echo could be more 'proactive' in seeking these kind of stories from their contacts.

Tuchel would definitely fit the 'paperwork hold up' statement as the Mainz chairman is no doubt holding out for a sizeable compensation payment. The more I think about it the more Tuchel seems like the perfect fit.

what aspect of the stories? the fact that we're not going to contemplate selling Shaw (and others) until the new manager is onboard doesn't mean the stories of Man Utd bids and Shaw wanting to go are "rubbish". could all be true and still fit in with Reed's version of where things stand.
