  1. 4 goals in his last 9 starts is very good! His age is irrelevant to his current goal threat.
  2. Are you not going to give Spors a chance? A completely new person making football decisions, so it is daft to write him off due to the decisions of others. Judge him on his own merits! It isn't Sports Republic, it is Sport Republic! 😉😇
  3. Trump has a track record of 6 bankruptcies. Spors has a track record of promotions.
  4. Do you not want them to be very busy in the window?
  5. Why? We have a completely new person in charge of football decisions. Someone with a strong track record.
  6. The squad will look very different. Johannes Spors has admitted he will be 'very, very busy' in the window.
  7. Which is why they've made changes. But those changes are unable to have a major impact on the pitch until the new season.
  8. tbf Onuachu gives them something different and has been a goal threat recently.
  9. Higher wages than they'd get elsewhere, promotion bonuses and medals act as motivators.
  10. They are playing him upfront... which we didn't for most of last season. He isn't a good central striker. He is effective in the Championship playing wider.
  11. They are not playing him in his best role. He isn't a good central striker, we played him out wide mainly last season.
  12. 87 points is not a bad total. Should have been more, but in a lot of seasons it would be close to enough for automatic promotion.
  13. 2008/09 was a worse season. Sure not close in points total, but it was a relegation to the 3rd tier.
  14. He went off injured vs Palace and did not train fully in the build-up to today's game.
  15. If anything, I think Martin held them back in the Championship season. We should have done better. Those players aren't 'average' for the Championship. Take Armstrong for example... 2nd top scorer in the league playing on the right in most games.
  16. Would you not be interested even if they gave us a promotion-chasing campaign?
  17. At Premier League level, sure, but there are more potential clubs they can go to than just the Premier League.
  18. They didn't struggle last time, so why would they next season? The struggle will come if we keep them after any new promotion.
  19. Hardly controversial! We have a squad packed full of very good Championship players, who are completely out of depth in the Premier League.
  20. Those two are not comparable. The Spurs player wasn't blocking Ramsdale's sightline and didn't make an attempt to play the ball.
  21. Players don't deliberately want to get injured!
  22. Why label him a 'cunt' or 'stealing a living'? He isn't deliberately getting injured!
  23. Signing a player to replace Armstrong, who will be good enough to have an impact in the Premier League is significantly harder to do as a Championship club. The less risky option is to use players like Armstrong who are stand out players in the Championship and then sell them in the summer of 2026. It is what we should have done last summer, very few of the promotion squad should have stayed. We needed pretty much a complete overhaul of the squad bar Walker-Peters and Dibling. Gelling may have taken a while, but our issue has been player quality and manager tactics.
