It smooths recruitment after promotion as Ramsdale is one of the tiny number of players we have who wouldn't need an upgrade to be good enough for the PL. McCarthy and Bazunu got us promoted last time, plus they good still sign another keeper to be first choice for the season and pushes McCarthy out in Sumner 2026. Plus, we'd get a loan fee which can go into the kitty for this season.

Possibly not a bad idea. If wages are covered, Saints receive a loan fee and then have him back to play if we get promoted. One of the very few players we have that will be good enough to play for us after another promotion!
