  1. FC Köln relied on him and they were promoted to the Bundesliga. He isn't a complete novice.
  2. Some saying Oliver Bierhoff
  3. The rest of the league don't, but Galatasaray do. How do you think they've had players like Victor Osimhen last season? It isn't by paying peanuts. Nor are Leroy Sane, Davidson Sanchez, Álvaro Morata and Mauro Icardi cheap.
  4. A loan fee for a player like Ramsdale would be substantial (into millions), that can that be added to the transfer kitty for this season. Plus we've already had one promotion with McCarthy and Bazunu from this league. If Ramsdale goes they'd sign another keeper, someone who might even be 1st choice and when Ramsdale returns next summer McCarthy might go.
  5. It smooths recruitment after promotion as Ramsdale is one of the tiny number of players we have who wouldn't need an upgrade to be good enough for the PL. McCarthy and Bazunu got us promoted last time, plus they good still sign another keeper to be first choice for the season and pushes McCarthy out in Sumner 2026. Plus, we'd get a loan fee which can go into the kitty for this season.
  6. Possibly not a bad idea. If wages are covered, Saints receive a loan fee and then have him back to play if we get promoted. One of the very few players we have that will be good enough to play for us after another promotion!
  7. Why can't he be tough tackling and short? N'Golo Kanté is 1.68m, can he not be tough at tackling?
  8. We didn't need Ramsdale or Fernandes last time to be promoted.

    He did it... 🤯
  10. Kits can be revealed without them instantly being on sale. Plus I did say "maybe", due to her post being vague enough for a number of different meanings.
  11. Perhaps. That is why I only used maybe. As it is unclear what that post means.
  12. Hard to deny Rasmus Ankersen getting a deal rising to £58m for Lavia looks good on the face of it, without knowing the full structure. Maybe Ankersen has a flair for selling players, but not buying them. Spors is now in charge of the latter.
  13. Maybe a Monday evening kit reveal. Saints player Rachel Brown posted this...
  14. https://share.google/hkxZLBgfKVftY0Z1e
  15. The article is 12 years old 😉
  16. Aarons joining up with Russell Martin, so won't be the Walker-Peters replacement...
  17. They'd be daft to stop their 8 year olds joining Saints academy if offered a place regardless of club rivalry.
  18. The argument for having the Bath setup of being on the coast is daft, a large number of British clubs are near or on the coast. Not at all unique for us. Plus there are 140,000 people to the South of Southampton on the Isle of Wight.
  19. I'd be surprised if there weren't ways to make it workable and spread the load so it works, as it is now over a quarter of a century later. A lot may have changed as to what is possible in construction in 2025 vs the late 1990s when St Mary’s was being designed and constructed started.
  20. Infrastructure costs are exempt from the financial rules. The revenue generated by them increase the amount the club can use on transfers and wages.
  21. Atalanta are significantly better than us. They came 3rd in Serie A and are in the Champions League. If Sulemana is wanted by them... perhaps he isn't as bad as you think!
  22. For making a loss on players he signed himself? I don't think that deserves any credit.
  23. I've criticised them on multiple occasions.
  24. Only for a while. Will need to see some good evidence of things moving forward on it. Hopefully the council continue to be cooperative.
