Why wouldn't Fernandes be fit enough? He had 3 or so days off for illness and then training for a week before the game? I'd also not rule out the other bar Harwood-Bellis, especially as we don't know the full details of their injuries/recoveries.
-
Zero evidence of that happening to this point. Only money going in, not out.
-
20% of the profit, not the total fee
-
If you are talking about Ross Stewart, his was not a minor injury.
-
Minor injuries do not prevent transfers. Medicals look for injuries that will impact the future. You can pass a medical even if you are currently injured. Plus in any case he is already back in training so not injured.

Even if Gavin Bazunu is 1st choice we still need another keeper, as Joe Lumley left. I doubt the club will use Dylan Moody as 3rd choice for league games beyond the end of the window. 3rd choice keepers go to every 1st team game even if not on the subs bench, if he did that he'd miss academy gametime that a 17 year old keeper needs to develop.

Being devoid of PL quality is irrelevant to them being very good at Championship level.

The FM ratings are my opinion, so I don't base my opinion on the ratings it is the other way round. You say 'at the moment ' but the last FM data you could have seen is from February 2024. Saints FM data 18 months later is very different!

It is not true It does not meet definition of a fire sale. A "fire sale" is actively looking to sell assets cheaply. That is not what they are doing.
-
They've spent in that ballpark very recently

We have a better squad than Coventry, higher chance of promotion and like you acknowledged the money factor. We will have a significantly bigger wage bill than Coventry.
-
Why not when those clubs have spent similar to that on other players?
-
£25m would be ridiculously cheap for a player with his talent, number of clubs interested and the length of contract left. Double it and you'd be closer to his value.
-
Amazing spot, well done! It could possibly be a typo given I used the correct spelling earlier in the post you just quoted.

If it was script from Hollywood, given 'Welcome to Wrexham' has covered 3 promotions in the last three series, a more interesting script for the opening to series 5 would be a comfortable Southampton win bringing Wrexham back down to earth, before they improve as the series goes on. Adds more drama than a constant upward trajectory. They need some bumps in the road and warnings of this film contains 'mild peril'.

Ticket releases for August and Portsmouth games?
Matthew Le God replied to Ekimr's topic in The Saints
It isn't shoehorning if more people want to watch it If more people want to watch it... it is significant to UK sporting culture in 2025 -
Window closes before the Pompey game.
-
Not if the squad is smaller.
-
Didn't he sign for Brighton?
-
Any splinters sitting on that fence?

I haven't gone beyond MSc

They were in a hard place last season mentally because most of them were too shit for the league they were in. That led to defeat after defeat and is mentally draining. This season they will go into games with higher ability players than most of the rest of the league. They'll soon forget the omnishambles of last season IF we get off to a good start.
