Turkish not understanding what "follows you" means. Or that a conversation can be from years ago. @Lighthouse you can close this thread now. As I won't be responding to @Turkish @Holmes_and_Watson @Weston Super Saint and some others again or reading their posts. That should help the main forum! ☺

This is likely my final ever post to you. Added to the ignore list. A final epic Turkish fail to end the thread! It still shows as following here on his profile, I don't know why it isn't also showing in the long list. Ask Elon Musk why! And even if he didn't follow me in 2025... that conversation was years ago when he was at Saints. He is not at Saints anymore, he is at Leicester now! He doesn't need to still follow me years after a conversation when he is at a different club! Numerous current backroom staff follow me, including Spors. And you've just shown you also do despite saying you don't use your Twitter account.

That article also says Sky Sports Germany said Will Still's RC Lens were interested in Daniel Peretz.

What makes you think it is him? Or are you making a suggestion?

You joke, but some very good players were either born in French Guiana and Suriname or they have parents/grandparents that were! For example... Clarence Seedorf, Edgar Davids, Ruud Gullit, Frank Rijkaard, Georginio Wijnaldum, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Florent Malouda, Mike Maignan etc

They do in French Guiana and Suriname!

Not seriously. Rusk said yesterday he'll be ready for pre-season.

It does benefit others (including Saints) beyond just those in the Club World Cup, in that they can sign players earlier. So they can potentially have them settled in long before pre season starts.
-
It is because of the new format for the FIFA Club World Cup. They want teams to be able to sign players before that competition starts and keep same length of window, and because that means an earlier window they need a gap during thd summer. https://www.premierleague.com/news/4272739

I doubt the gap will make much difference. It is only a 6 day gap, that finishes long before players return for pre-season. 1st June to 10th June 6 day gap 16th June to 1st September Deals could be worked on during those 6 days and go to completion shortly after it reopens.

Difficult to know until we get an idea of outgoings. We are all only guessing who will leave. Russell Martin largely focused on domestic signings, I'd guess we'll use the German, French, Dutch and Belgian markets more with the new management and recruitment setup.
