  1. Who would you prefer to play today...? £5m Bednarek £18m Vestergaard
  2. Who would you have played at right back then?
  3. Price doesn't equal ability. Saints could sign a player who goes onto World Class levels for £15m. Sure that would be hard to do and require good scouting. But we shouldn't fixate on price. Sure it would be nice if we were spending £30m+ on players, but they have to be well thought out transfers as we've had some disasters for relatively big money for us.
  4. What makes you think that?
  5. We are closer to Europe than relegation as things stand.
  6. Can you show your working on that? My point is players need to leave as the squad is bloated and Janaury is not the best time to make signings. A new recruitment backroom appointment is due in the summer, is it not better to let him decide rather than make decisions on new transfers shortly before he arrives?
  7. How many right backs do you want? Two is fine, both are in training and very close to being ready... just not today for Walker-Peters & Valery
  8. It worked well vs Zaha. With Valery and Walker-Peters not fully ready... who else would you play at right back? I'd rather Ward-Prowse be there than Danso.
  9. I don't see those three happening as an unlikely. When Danso and KWP loans end we'd be down to 3 senior centre backs and 1 senior team right back, so would be daft not to sign one of each. We are light in midfield beyond Hojbjerg, Ward-Prowse & Romeu, Hojbjerg and Romeu may even leave so new players required there. Sure Gao isn't a great owner, but we still spent £50m+ last summer.
  10. A centre back, right back (might be KWP) and central midfielder at the very least.
  11. Hopefully Valery
  12. Would you prefer the club to run unsustainably? We have a lot of wages wasted on transfer failures, it makes sense to reduce the wagebill to free up cash for incoming transfers in the summer.
  13. Arsenal wanted him, he wanted to go, Saints make/save money

  15. Would you prefer the club to be unsustainable?
  16. They are in a promotion battle in the 2nd tier
  17. Nope... It is 30th June 2023 https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46509826
  18. They have more disposable income from TV money. Their wage budget is tiny compared to ours which allows them to spend TV money that Saints have tied up with wages.
  19. Walker-Peters and Valery both trained today... Straight down to work for @KWPeters on day one with #SaintsFC! https://t.co/XoGdVocJ8o

  23. It is being reported as a £5m fee
  24. Of course it isn't, as he won't be an Arsenal player if it is a loan. You can't sell a player you haven't signed permanently When the loan expires I the summer Cedric is free to leave.
  25. 1) I'm puzzled how a disgraceful for 3/4 of the season team can have 31 points and be 9th? 2) It isn't a weak squad, now playing in a system and formation that suits them they have a good chance of a top half finish 3) Sure some extra quality players would be nice. But getting the new recruitment man as the club have said will arrive in the summer is key to any future transfer strategy. Spending money before he arrived and in an inflated January market isn't a good idea
