  1. Yet again... you didn't answer the question (I didn't think you would, but it would have been nice)
  2. No I don't. Some people in the country are Christian, that doesn't make it a Christian country
  3. The Bible doesn't have a forward saying 'do not take literally'. What emotion do you think you can show on an internet forum? What example do you have of me not understanding someone's emotion on this forum? It is a forum... not a conversation on the phone or face to face.
  4. And living by faith is daft! Because... 1) Is there any position you can take that can't be based on faith? 2) If no then faith is not a reliable path to the truth... so what is the point?
  5. No, it is the calendar of the country I live in. It would be daft in home life and work life if I didn't recognise it is 2020 tomorrow.
  6. And your evidence for that is? Sure you'll say my posts on this forum, but what about them?
  7. Believing in something without good supporting evidence is by definition illogical. There is nothing I say I believe in that I don't have good supporting evidence.
  8. Why have you dismissed the possibility that it doesn't mention America because the prophecy is by a man in the middle east who had no knowledge of America?
  9. Do you have a PhD in avoiding tricky questions that undermine your position?
  10. What do you think open minded means? Because as I've stated a number of times, I will believe what ever the shows to be the case. If you provided me with some good evidence your God exists... I'd believe he exists. Do you have some?
  11. Pedantic sure! But I am educated to Masters level, so to call me not very bright is nonsense. 'Human emotions' are to this topic and 'little understanding of intelligence' is meaningless nonsense. You didn't answer 1 and 4 and I was asking you for the answers to all 4 of them. Give it a go!
  12. 1) What 'mental level of proof' have I asked for? 2) If the evidence supports a God I would believe in its existence. I'm yet to see any convincing evidence. Do you have some? 3) 'Living according to Bible prinicples' ... like owning slaves? committing genocide? Being sexist and homophobic? 4) What issues could a person have that can only be overcome by turning to the Bible and not by secular means?
  13. I think if Raging Bull was alive in 1654AD or 1836AD etc etc he'd be trying to shoe horn the same vague prophecies to events in the 17th and 19th century rather than the 21st century. The prophecies in the Bible are vague enough that people throughout the last 2000+ years have been trying convince themselves that it matches with the current time period.
  14. Maybe he is a fan of Kent Hovind
  15. 1) It does not mention them. This is supposed to be a prophecy from God, if God is all knowing then the prophecy would give things like years, names of leaders Vladimir Putin, Hassan Rouhani etc. Instead it is extremely vague and gives no time frame. You are shoe-horning a vague statement in an old book to fit the 21st century. As I've said before... your bar for acceptable levels of evidence is extremely low. It is gullibility that you can't see due to indoctrination and brainwashing. 2) You mention Noah... do you believe the Noah flood story literally happened word for word as it is in the Bible?
  16. Does he hunts goats or ghosts? or
  17. Supernatural goats?
  18. Lets have some fun Turkish... Tell us what you believe concerning God and why you believe it
  19. My magic beans are more magical than badgerx16's bean, plus they come with a free Meerkat cuddly toy. £200 per bean Batman... interested?
  20. Spin off thread! There is no good evidence for ghosts either Batman!
  21. Yet again you are reading things that aren't there! Yep, no God required to create a country it is a man made process to create a country. Solely down to the effort of people wanting to create Israel. What do you think God did to help? The self fulfilling part I was talking about people working towards making Israel a country. The countries to the north is not what I was talking about. If the predictions came from God there is no need for them to be so vague. No years mentioned, no leaders mention... no countries mentioned. An impressive prophecy would mention Putin by name. In part that was the reason... yes At no point did I say it was the sole reason
  22. I did not say they would fufill self prophecy I didn't even mention them. When talking about fulfilling self prophecy I was talking about Jews wanting to create Israel because of what it said in their own Holy Book. There is no prophecy regarding Russia, Iran and Turkey!
  23. 1) The prophecy does not mention Iran, Russia or Turkey. 2) Even if it did mention them, explain why it would have to be all or nothing?
  24. No where in that post do I make reference to Russian, Iran and Turkey. Nor does the Bible mention them. My post is solely about Jews working to make Israel. You did to look closer to home for dense... because you seemingly are unable to read and comprehend the English language!
  25. You call me dense... yet make up things I didn't actually say!
