  1. 1) What do you think I said about those things that was wrong? 2) What job do you think Ross Wilson had at Saints?
  2. Sure it isn't a guarantee, but it is a pretty good indicator of what he can do at that level. Less of a risk than bringing someone else in to score Championship goals.
  3. Is it Gary Birtles? Because if it is Birtles, then yes he was born in Nottingham and played for Forest for 9 years!
  4. Here you go... Adam Armstrong is fucking awful in the Premier League (but is great in the Championship)
  5. Yes, 2nd top scorer from right wing makes him a stand-out player relative to the other players in the league.
  6. 24 league goals and the 2nd top scorer in the Championship from largely playing right wing makes him special (at Championship level).
  7. Why sell a player when he is prolific in the league you will be in?
  8. Correct. We should have sold Arsmtrong this summer. But we didn't and are now heading back to a league where he is prolific. So it makes sense to keep him for a promotion campaign and then sell him if that is achieved as he is out of his depth in the PL.
  9. Ross Wilson labels his time at Saints as Director of Football operations. He was overseeing transfers and strategy. https://www.linkedin.com/in/ross-wilson-ba86b020/?originalSubdomain=uk
  10. What about the flip side? van Dijk, Romeu, Hojbjerg to name a few more positive signings. All of which went on to huge clubs.
  11. Nonsense
  12. No, he was not the manager. But that and your question is completely irrelevant. I was questioning you saying he was crap at Rangers. What is that claim based on?
  13. He is completely out of his depth in the Premier League, but we don't need him to be good enough for the Premier League next season. Why sell a player capable of scoring 24 Championship goals when you are going to be playing in the Championship? The time to sell him is not this season, it is after any potential future promotion.
  14. You said he was 'crap'. So why was he 'crap'?
  15. He scored 24 Championship goals last season and we will be in the Championship.
  16. The issue is not his ability, like @Lighthouse mentioned. The issue is his injury record. In ability he is at the very least a Championship level player. If he is fit enough to play non league games he is fit enough to play Championship games. Your thinking is flawed.
  17. In what position(s) are we 'devoid' of players who are at the level of top Championship players?
  18. Bugger
  19. Not really true. Whilst it is a 2 horse race, this is not 'crap'... Winning an historic 55th league title, their first Scottish Cup in 13 years, their run to the Europa League final and a return to the Champions League for the first time in 12 years.
  20. It happening at least somewhere in world football in the last 150 years would give it a bit more credibility. It hasn't because number 2) happens instead.
  21. 1) Can you give a comparable example of that happening? 2) We will be at a lower non elite level next season. If we didn't play him he'd be better off seeing out the remaining time on his contract and going out on loan if he wanted games. There is no inventive for him to lose some of the worth on his contract.
  22. Why would he agree to that? Plus in any case, the club has insurance for player injuries.
  23. Perhaps another loan next season or possibly could be a useful player for our first team in the Championship.
  24. Whatever you want to call it... it is working extremely well.
