I'd imagine it is because the drainage at St Mary's is good and the rainfall before the game would quickly move away from the surface. The sprinklers are used close to kickoff so the surface is slick for quick passing during the game.

When did I say he was" great"? I said he looked promising but we can't really tell yet given his lack of minutes, so for fans to say the club should sell him in the summer is daft.
-
Because the managers can only pick 11 players for the starting XI, one to three players in Mayuka's positions of winger/striker in our 4-2-3-1 system and only 18 players in a matchday squad. Some players will inevitably miss out in both starting in the XI and the match-day 18. To write a 22 year old international like Mayuka off already is daft, especially as in the very brief glimpses we have seen he has shown some good qualities. Maybe he will end up being a "dud signing", but given his lack of minutes I fail to see how any Saints fan can jump to that conclusion yet and justify it.
-
Have you really seen enough of Mayuka to write him off? He is 22 years old, has hardly played and his performance vs. Spurs in particular showed he could be useful in years to come.

Saints charged by FA for failing to control players vs Norwich

Not the fine directly, but Mark Clattenburg would have given us a very low mark for that game which goes towards the fair play league. -

Chelsea, Sunderland, Newcastle and Liverpool have all been fined £20k for the same reason in the last 2 years, no big deal really. Although Saints' players and management shouldn't have done what they did, they were actually quite restrained and were hardly right up in Clattenburg's face shouting at him. -
A huge number of people wrote Schneiderlin off, many are unlikely to admit they were wrong with that. To write Ramirez off is daft, as he clearly has ability, its his first season in a new country, in a struggling team, has had injuries, no pre-season with the team and a family bereavement to deal with.
-
??? Saints are not in the relegation zone and haven't been for some time. They are 16th and 4 points above the relegation zone with a superior goal difference. Yes a relegation fight, but not sure why that makes them "likely to go down". Cheer up ffs!
-
Cortese isn't going to sell him in the summer of 2013 for less than we paid for him in the summer of 2012! ffs He really hasn't done as poorly as many in this thread are making out. Technically he is probably our best player, has had injuries, a family bereavement, no-preseason with Saints and is only 22 years old. I think he will prove to be a very good buy, a pre-season with Pochetinno this summer will do him the world of good.

Who said he wouldn't play?
-
He played every minute of their last game vs Spurs.
-
Carragher and Agger are hardly "quick".

The post I quoted says... "I'm guessing the building next to the stadium would be clad in Corten steel and, it wouldn't surprise me if it's a large banqueting suite, as AFL also incorporated a similar wedge shaped building into the new stand at Edgbaston." It then says "Corten Steel:" and shows a similar(ish) building (The Mcphail centre for music) to the one in the St Mary's building clad in Corten Steel. Discussing cladding may not be everyone's idea of fun, but it is still relevant to this thread however dull it might seem.

tbf to Chelsea it isn't their fault.

When would you have put the FA Cup replay? Made extra hard if Chelsea stay in the Europa League.

Well it is interesting to me, so

Back on topic, this is interesting...

Chelsea win could mean our game postponed....

Not good news if you had made plans for the Saturday. This game has now changed dates twice. -

Game has been moved back to Saturday 30th March at 3pm ffs! -
I have a spreadsheet you can use to analyse your findings.

I think you'll struggle to name many teams that would get over 74,000 people through the turnstiles for 3 games whilst in administration and heading for relegation. Pompey for example will get about 33,000 for 3 games this season.
-
Exactly! The 3 Championship home matches after Lowe left and relegation to League One a certainty = 23k, 27k, 24k
-
Does that matter? The fact they have a number of games in a 24k stadium not sold out is telling in itself that it isn't the best comparison.
