He has been the ref in Saints games, so would mean he lied to the governing bodies.
-
We do have a Director of football and it is not a 'business' person.
-
What makes you think Gao made the appointment?
-
I did not use those words.
-
Better how? He was a nothing owner that didn't invest a single penny in the club. Sure SR have messed up lots of transfers, but we've still had £260m+ of spending over the last 2 PL seasons. At least SR are trying (even though it is failing).
-
Those are claims, not evidence for the claim. That is circular!
-
Prove it! 😉😇

Find a reputable football news source that regularly uses season formats of 2022/2023 or 2024/2025 rather than formatting them like 2022/23 or 2024/25. Not an easy task to find one (let alone multiple).
-
I didn't say 'would', I said 'could' and by 'could' I mean under spending limits.
-
The point he made was they could have spent a lot more in 2024/25 if they didn't screw up the transfers in 2022/23.
-
He did not say they didn't spend a lot. He said they were restricted from spending more than they did due to previous spending. There is a difference between those two things.
-
They don't. We've benefitted from them as well.
-
They were attacking subs than you think, Sugawara is a more attacking full back than Stephens. Plus Ugochukwu playing as the holding midfielder instead of Lallana allows Aribo and Fernandes to go further forward knowing they have a specialist holding player behind them.
-
They were convinced with what Jones told them enough to hire him, but still quickly sacked him.
-
It is incompetence rather than corruption.
-
They sacked multiple managers in our last PL season, so why do you think they won't this time?
-
My guess is Lallana as interim manager and they'll give him the job if he does well.
-
How else do you describe a position of a player for a match if not for where they were for the majority of the match? His in possession position is in midfield and we've had possession for 72% of the match so far.
-
Because in and out of possession formations are different.
-
We have the majority of possession (currently 72%), so where he is when we have possession... is where he is for the majority of the game! Why is where he is for the majority of the time not the best why to describe his position?
-
Left back in a four, with Manning in midfield.
-
You missed the question. Why would a ref choose to 'make a name for himself' in a way that is not beneficial for himself?
-
It is not five at the back. Stephens is in midfield in possession.
-
Because it was a response to a claim of the ref wanting to make a name for himself. Why would a ref choose to 'make a name for himself' in a way that is not beneficial for himself?
-
The question was about what he would do to benefit himself. Why would a ref do that in order to benefit himself? It does the opposite!
