The main point of opening post was using the fair play league (with Saints at the top and Stoke at the bottom) which has numbers of red/yellow cards as a key weighting factor.

Why do you see getting yellow cards as a positive? It is perfectly possible to be aggressive and not get booked, i.e. win the ball cleanly and also not time waste/dissent etc.

If you mean Hooiveld and not Hooivelt, then it could be because at 6 foot 4 Adkins thinks he offers a counter to Stoke's aerial threat. Today's team has a lot of 6 foot plus players, which we might just need.

What about Kelvin Davis? The keeper we've had since 2006. I think Boruc should be given another go, if people keep harping on about experience at a high level then Boruc has more pedigree than any other keeper we've currently got.

It was actually one of Lambert's worst penalties in a Saints shirt, Schwarzer got a hand to it and nearly saved it.

We haven't reached the 2nd half of the season yet, the next two games bringing us up to the halfway mark are away from home meaning after 19 games it'll be 10 home games and 9 away games. We also had an away game postponed due to Chelsea being in the World Club Cup.

That means little, Gazzaniga, Boruc and Davis are all in those videos. Boruc was also in the training videos in the build up to the Reading game and was on the bench, he was in pre-match training videos before the Norwich game and wasn't on the bench but did the warm down after the game finished with the other unused players.
