  1. Hopefully they get out their big guns to work for Chainrai, rather than the minions they used to assist you Steve. Actually, if they have a history of dragging things out for "SIX ****ING MONTHS" = long drawn out appeal process from Chainrai...
  2. You should publish the first ever Skate-English dictionary.
  3. Kana-Biyik or Dann, who would Dave Merrington prefer?
  4. My pedantry, persistance and dullness does have some uses Kraken!
  5. Is that enough trousers? I've been tweeting away trying to educate them, I don't think any of them "get it" though.
  6. Brendon Bone really is clueless isn't he!
  7. I've given it a go, she still doesn't "get it" though.
  8. I'd like to hear the Football Leagues justification for it only being -10 points for diluting a failed CVA with a new CVA. Bournemouth and Rotherham got -17 points for failing to agree a CVA, Pompey agree a CVA, drag it out for 2 years and it fails haven't not made a payment on it, they then dilute it. Yet they only get -10 points for that, if anything that is worse than what Bournemouth and Rotherham did.
  9. I actually feel quite confident about Clyne and Shaw dealing with most wide players in this league.
  10. No, it was a genuine question as I wasn't sure. Hard to believe I know.
  11. Do they play Johnson on the right?
  12. 13. Generally yes, but giving Harding, Hammond and Butterfield extensions wasn't the best idea imo.
  14. Davis isn't first choice at the moment, Gazzaniga is first choice when all the keepers are available. Okay, add to my original statement given he is first choice, only 26 years old, has sell on value if under contract and is performing well in the Premier League. None of which can really be applied to Kelvin Davis.
  15. He can only talk to foreign clubs from January. Would a foreign club sign him? English clubs can only talk to him much closer to the end of June. They also only announce them when they are done, it is still only the 9th December, for all we know Puncheon's agent might be at St Mary's now discussing it with Cortese! Given Puncheon is starting games regularly at the moment, I think it would be unlikely Saints wouldn't offer him a new deal.
  16. A lot of them are already out on loan, Seaborne, Martin, Sharp, Hammond etc. Getting rid of them may need to wait until the summer.
  17. Cork didn't trip Tabb, watch it again. Even if they did get a penalty, it isn't a guaranteed goal, where as there was nothing wrong with the disallowed Puncheon first half goal, as noted Federici pushed Yoshida into a Reading defender and fooled the ref. Plus Saints could have had a penalty for a foul (clear shirt pull) on Fonte in the first half.
  18. It wasn't £7m. As I said earlier in the thread... "£6 million, which wouldn't have been all upfront in any case and based partly on clauses, bonuses and staggered payments." £6m in the current climate is pretty much expected for a young English striker with potential, especially one with a good record in the Championship like Rodriguez had. If Lambert was to be injured/suspended and we didn't sign Rodriguez, who would you propose we play in the Lambert role this season?
  19. One is a first team regular, one is that first team regular's replacement if injury/suspension occurs and in years to come will be his successor - remember he is 7 years younger! We need squad depth and Rodriguez is that depth for Lambert. I'm fully aware Rodriguez isn't as good as Lambert (which is why he is often on the bench), but I certainly wouldn't write him off yet, I think he has a lot of potential and we have rarely seen him play this season in his best role as a centre forward as opposed to out wide.
  20. When Lambert was Rodriguez's age he was playing for Rochdale in League Two after being sold by Stockport in League One.
  21. Who knows? I wouldn't rule it out completely just yet... In any case any story that links Wigan to a £10 million transfer lacks a little credibility.
  22. Yep, because we haven't signed a player for over £10m before... And we didn't have the 7th highest net spend in European football in the summer of 2012 at over £30 million...
  23. What is that meant to mean? Can't see that comparison at all.
  24. Adkins with work with him to become Lambert's long term replacement given Rodriguez is 7 years younger. A shrewd signing in the current market for the £6 million he cost, which wouldn't have been all upfront in any case and based partly on clauses, bonuses and staggered payments.
