  1. Worse than Walcott back to Saints for £15m and £100k p/w?
  2. Following in the footsteps of a former Saints keeper... Maik Taylor
  3. Aren't they just reporting/rehashing the Daily Star story? Nope that was Paulo Gazzaniga and Chris Johns.
  4. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?39018-Under-21-s-v-Winchester&highlight=adam+davies Indeed it has (if you trust the Daily Star that is). http://www.dailystar.co.uk/posts/view/264969/Adam-Davies-joins-Southampton/
  5. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?39018-Under-21-s-v-Winchester&highlight=adam+davies Indeed it has.
  6. We quickly declined after Strachan left in 2004, probably due to lack of investment/ambition to push on after a number of mid table finishes and were relegated in 2005.
  7. Same old people jumping on me again. I wonder how this thread would have turned out if someone else went to the effort of trying to inform the forum what season ticket sales may be...? The9 was right in his prediction...
  8. I got all of the data from the Saints ticket website. I haven't just made it up, anyone could have gone on the website to check. It also is in line with previous people that have totted up the numbers over the past few weeks.
  9. No I can't be certain, but that is how it appeared to be. No-one has shown otherwise yet and I may be wrong. The numbers do seem realistic, given it is a similar number to last time in the Premier League. Had it given a number of 27k season ticket holders I could understand the suspicion it might be wrong. Only 3 seats in the entire stadium were listed as "locked by" and unavailable to purchase. One in block 8 and two in block 24.
  10. My opening post is at least some evidence that we have, compared to what you have provided to say we haven't. It may be wrong, but no-one has proven otherwise yet.
  11. Care to expand on that at all?
  12. Read in in combination with the rest of my post.
  13. Were we in a recession from March to July 2004? That is only one year after finishing 8th and reaching the FA Cup final. 2003/04 saw a 12th place finish in the Premier League. We are now newly promoted and have already reached similar levels whilst in a massive global recession!
  14. After finding it relatively easy to get tickets for most Championship and League One games for the last 7 years it may change fans will realise how difficult it will be to get tickets in the Premier League and they may be tempted to get a ST for 2013/14. With only 5,500 to sell to non season ticket holders, games will sell out long in advance of kickoff as they did last time we were in the Premier League. Plus Turkish, look at it like this... Saints have more season ticket holders than the capacity of Fratton Park!
  15. In those blocks with under 100 available, most of the available seats are singles and so are harder to sell.
  16. They were all listed as available to buy apart from three seats in the entire stadium which were labelled "locked by". Block 7 is on the Itchen halfway line, it has the most expensive seats in the stadium apart from the corporate areas. Yes, they sold season tickets there as they are the best view in the stadium. Same with block 31 opposite it.
  17. 22,543 With circa 3.5k away fans seats and roughly 1k corporate seats there are only 5,545 left for Southampton fans unless away fans don't bring a full allocation and more blocks in Northam are freed up. Will be some mighty scrambles for tickets next season!
  18. Adkins has said he'll be back towards the end of pre-season. He is already doing some training with the squad.
  19. Phone them and ask.
  20. Season ticket deadline closes at 5pm tomorrow so don't leave it too late.
  21. There are going to be three leagues for clubs that applied for cat 1 clubs in 2012/13 (regardless of if they got cat 1 or not). We aren't in the same league as Fulham so aren't mentioned in that article. We are in one of the other two leagues of 8 clubs.
  22. Not really a guarantee of goals. For a start, Carroll only scored 4 Premier League goals last season.
  23. The "m" is for mobile. That is their mobile phone version of the website. This is the normal version... http://www.mirror.co.uk/incoming/southampton-bid-to-bring-theo-walcott-1180296#.UBReh0ZWkM0.twitter
  24. He is the paper's head football writer with good links at Arsenal.
  25. Normally journalists don't put their names to such seemingly outrageous stories and it is labelled "sportswriter" or something similar. This one was written by Matt Law the Chief football writer for the Sunday Mirror. Odd for a senior journalist to just make up and potentially look stupid for believing there was even an outside chance of it being true.
