  1. They are halfway through the audit, rest being done in Sept and Oct. It won't be the proper cat 1 league until 2013/14, at the moment it is just all those that applied for cat 1.
  2. So what? It is still true.
  3. For this season they just let in everyone that applied for category one status, so 23 clubs. Next season will only be for those clubs that actually got cat 1 status, so will be less than 23 clubs.
  4. Massive assumption here... 5.3 Ticket sales In addition, the forecast assumes three cup games (League Cup, FA Cup, Johnstones Paint Trophy), at an average attendance of 10,000, with an average ticket price of £15 (inc VAT), and with Portsmouth FC keeping 45% of the gate revenue. Not many teams average 10k from home/away games in first round of League Cup, JPT and FA Cup. A 10k figure is extremely optimistic. For a start they are playing Plymouth away in the League Cup, the attendance won't be anywhere near 10k. What if they play small teams in the FA Cup and JPT and/or are away from home at a small stadium?
  5. At least two games have to be at St Mary's.
  6. A minimum of two games have to be played at the club's stadium, the public will be able to watch them. The club can also let the public into the training ground games if it wants and the plan is for this competition to be televised at some point. The under 21's, under 18's and under 16's will all have the same league/team structure.
  7. That is only the league until Christmas. After Christmas the top 3 teams from group 1 + 2 join the top two teams from group 3 to find the best team. The remaining teams also form two other leagues so the second half of the season has a 3 tier system. Will be less teams in it in 2013/14 as for this season they just let in everyone that applied for category one status. Next season will only be for those clubs that got cat 1 status.
  8. Groups... Bolton Wanderers, Norwich City, Everton, West Ham United, Blackburn Rovers, Arsenal, West Bromwich Albion, Reading. Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, Watford, Sunderland, Southampton, Aston Villa, Stoke City. Manchester City, Crystal Palace, Middlesbrough, Chelsea, Liverpool, Fulham, Wolverhampton Wanderers.
  9. I have now got them to work by right clicking on them and opening it in a new tab.
  10. Can anyone get the latest 4 videos (Fonte and Adkins interviews) to work on Saints Player? Not working for me at the moment, yet older videos work fine.
  11. Not possible due to rule 6.3 and others found here... http://www.footballconference.co.uk/rules.php
  12. That sounds about right! Saints play Wolves at St Mary's on Saturday, Bristol City away is next Tuesday.
  13. Southampton FC ‏@officialsaints Saints Player interviews, press conferences and quotes from Nigel Adkins & José Fonte will be on the new-look http://www.saintsfc.co.uk tonight. Likely to be the usual Thursday pre-match interviews Saints have on Saints Player before every Saturday game. A little chat of what they've done this week, build up to the Wolves game on Saturday and skirting round transfer news.
  14. In the bottom half of League Two!
  15. How can they justify this...? Should be youth players and development squad players, not a "very competitive budget for League One". This money for a "competitive budget" Mr Brown talks of should be going to the creditors! The PST still don't "get it".
  16. Davis hasn't joined to sit on the bench, he is likely to be one of the top earners (if not the top earner) at the club. I think there is a more than reasonable chance he will soon be our captain and partnered with one/two of Lallana, Cork and Schneiderlin in central midfield (with Ward-Prowse in the long term to break through). Chaplow and Hammond simply aren't technically good enough to compete with the others. Yes, they work very hard but their first touch and passing ability is poor in comparison.
  17. Simply being "better than Hammond" won't get Chaplow in the team. Lallana, Cork, Schneiderlin, Davis and possibly Ward-Prowse are all going to be ahead of both of them for a central midfield spot next season.
  18. How can a £500,000 transfer budget be justified, even if it is for loans? That is a similar figure to what the non secured creditors are getting! If you really have a surplus, shouldn't that go to the creditors perhaps...? Kitson, Kanu and Ben Haim may be interested in that news aswell... (which is why it is unlikely to be true) A £4m playing budget is still large for League One. How can that be justified? You should have one of the smallest budgets, use youth team and development players and the money should goto the creditors. I think you have also left out a lot of football debt, which the parachute payments will go towards.
  19. So the trusts plan has just been announced that they want to get a loan from the council to buy the stadium. So to rid a club of debt, they want to create more debt. Their credit rating is terrible - three administrations in recent history, why should they use council taxpayers money? Why would the council trust a three times failed business with its money during a recession?
  20. They said council loan would be secured. Secured against what? It can't be the training ground or stadium, they don't own them.
  21. Goto the lounge, then click on the number of replies for this thread.
  22. People on this forum were watching their game vs Gibraltar on a stream earlier in this thread.
  23. They were saying the latest points deduction was unjust. I tweeted them... "unjust? The points deduction was for diluting a failed CVA with new CVA. Amounts to the same as not agreeing CVA in 1st place!" Mark Mudie then said on air I was wrong and that the 2010 creditors did agree to the latest CVA. Which as we all know here that is nonsense. He then made some comment about me listening to them because I was unhappy about the large ticket prices at Saints.
  24. You have 705 posts in this thread so you have more than a passing interest in the subject yourself. We are all nutjobs together here.
  25. I got a mention on Express FM. Mark Mudie really is clueless.
