  1. There are a number of data fields that can't be seen in game, but do have an impact. Like a controversy rating. This covers your previous example of a Joey Barton type incident. I use the researchers editor to input the data. I don't use the data editor that anyone buying the game would use, so not 100% sure if you can see the hidden attributes on there but I think it probably would allow you to see those fields.
  2. A mature way to debate, that also breaks the forums rules. Grow up.
  3. They are there to see in the researchers editor and I think also the editor that comes with the game.
  4. There are hidden ratings that take events like that into account. Not exactly that Joey Barton incident, but players get a controversy rating that is kept hidden from the user.
  5. Prove it, for all 3 with links.
  6. Some areas are always going to be subjective. That is what scouting is. I wouldn't really agree with your Lambert/Rodriguez statement. On FM13 Lambert has a higher current ability than Rodriguez, but Rodriguez has a potential ability that if fulfilled will take him above Lambert.
  7. I have said none of those things.
  8. As I said earlier, clubs use it as an initial scouting tool and pay for the privilege... http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Everton-using-Football-Manager-computer-game-article33798.html A number of FM researchers are employed by football clubs, some have even been employed to scout for them by clubs off the back of their work on FM. Some people are far too quick to dismiss the game's database as a real life tool.
  9. Did you think that in 2005?
  10. Regarding the Bournemouth vs Pompey game at Dean Court. When Bournemouth fans mentions bringing out the South Stand for "big" games and putting it away again, it reminds me of this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=oq4NLBhWvpo#t=672s
  11. If you are being serious and can't see why a football game which aims to be a simulation of real life, doesn't give an indication of what a player is like, then there really is no helping you.
  12. I'm pretty confident I have the Saints players positions pretty accurate on Football Manager. I base their positions on having a season ticket at St Mary's and watching them play, same applies for other clubs and their researchers. Professional clubs even pay for the privilege of using FM as an initial scouting tool. To rule it out as a resource as quickly as you often do is quite wrong to do.
  13. Norwegian journalist thinks Saints more likely club than Liverpool... http://fotball.rbnett.no/england/article263826.ece
  14. He is a Norwegian journalist and has linked Saints with Forren in this article published 30 minutes ago... http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=no&sl=no&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Ffotball.rbnett.no%2Fengland%2Farticle263826.ece
  15. Liverpool 1 Southampton 0
  16. As Nigel Adkins is forever quoting from his book, I'm surprised Saints haven't made a bid for this player... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21014918

  18. That is a different "Sebastian Fernandez" Turkish. The video is for a player that plays for Universitario de Deportes in Peru, not the one linked with Saints.
  19. If they have a better goal difference they would be. Not that it matters, they are already as good as down. Effectively they have 11 points, they will need about 50 points to stay up. Roughly that is 2 points per game which is title winning from for their remaining 20 games in order to stay up.
  20. 11 points to 25 points = 14 point gap
  21. Ramirez came off with cramp. Not exactly serious.
  22. BBC Radio Solent are led to understand (I guess from talking to the officials) the penalty was for the foul on Puncheon by Guzan. The referee played advantage to see if Saints would score, the Rodriguez "incident" then happened, Saints hadn't scored so he brought it back for the original foul and gave a penalty.
  23. Adam Blackmore ‏@bigadamsport So, Nigel Adkins says Luke Shaw's injury looks like tissue damage - cuts & gashes - good early sign for him #saintsfc That won't keep him out for long, if at all.
  24. He played very well today.
  25. If Lallana wasn't injured, Guly wasn't ill and Mayuka wasn't at the African Cup of Nations - then De Ridder wouldn't be on the bench. De Ridder also isn't as bad as some make out, I still think there is a good player in him struggling to get out. He does have a lot of good attributes, problem is his decision making and final ball aren't great.
