Sorry, but that is not evidence that he was "forced upon him". That is very much jumping to conclusions. Mayuka is still young and we have other players playing well in his position, Adkins still puts him on the bench a lot even if he doesn't play.

And your evidence for that is...?

Adkins has already said we won't be signing a new keeper, we signed two in the last window. It looks to be Artur Boruc for the rest of the season. Give him a run of games and I think he'll be fine.

We got Yoshida and a lot of people now appear to be happy with him. Yes, we need another one especially with Fonte out and that appears to be what the club are now looking to do.

That fails to take into account a lot of the teams Saints are competing with have had years of Premier League football and Premier League income to build a squad. Saints leaped up two leagues in two years and took the first steps to building a Premier League squad in the summer window. Give us some more transfer windows and the strength and depth of the squad will improve as we bring in better players and get rid of those that haven't been able to keep up with the progress of the club.

So where is the problem? If we win at the weekend as you think we will, we'll 2 points above Villa, have a game in hand (admittedly away at Chelsea) and have a vastly superior goal difference. Saints had a poor start whilst they settled into the Premier League and are starting to look solid based on the last 10 games, Villa on the other hand have been getting worse in recent months.

And what do successive promotions merit? Lucky for us you aren't the Saints chairman if you would sack someone for the reason stated.

I was doing games against the 3 teams above us and the 3 teams below. In any case we didn't struggle against Norwich, Fulham x2 and Swansea. We were ontop in all 4 games, that isn't struggling.

Amazing how many university educated sports journalists and commentators incorrectly use the word "ironic" for unfortunate things or coincidences.

Pretty much all of your posts and threads you have started have a negative spin. Even if you really are a Saints fan, can you not see why that would grate with others? Cheer up, this is a golden era in Saints history.
