So what? Boruc has 46 international caps for Poland and has spent the last 2 years in Serie A for Fiorentina towards the top of a top European league. Before that he played in a number of European campaigns for Celtic. That should be more than enough "experience" to cope in the Premier League. Give him a run of games (which he hasn't had yet) and he should (at least in theory) be more than good enough for us. How is goalkeeping in Serie A really that much different from goalkeeping in the Premier League?

If good attacking players are available aswell and they have the money to sign both attacking players and defenders, then why not do both?
