Over Lallana or Puncheon? Instead of?
-
So 1 West Ham player and 10 Saints players. That doesn't tie in well with the rest of the thread. Would he still want Collins now?
-
We have not had the same fixture list, different teams played home and away. 4 points is not a big gap at all. They also have to come to St Mary's and if Saints win that it would be down to 1 point. Their recent form has been poor. You also overlook my point about the Saints team today not being the same as the one that started the season. Shaw and Cork have made a huge difference, as have Yoshida, Boruc and Ramirez settling in. I wasn't asking them, I was asking you. Which West Ham players would you want in the Saints starting XI? Why do you keep avoiding the question?
-
We haven't played the same fixtures as them, nor have we got the same team that started the season. Boruc, Shaw, Cork, Yoshida and Ramirez now all bedded in and we are quickly gaining on West Ham, only 4 points behind and they have to come to St Mary's. What would be your answer to my question in post #136?

Which West Ham players do you think would get in a Saints best XI of... Boruc Clyne Shaw Forren Yoshida/Fonte Cork Schneiderlin Ramirez Lallana Puncheon Lambert
-
You can never tell on this forum.
-
If it had, Saints wouldn't have just announced Seaborne going to Bournemouth. Seaborne has been our 3rd choice centre back for the last 2 games, they won't be loaning him out without bringing someone else in. Seaborne wasn't upto the Premier League and nor is Aaron Martin.
-
More likely the other way round.
-
A little vague. Who was it? Twitter can be a valuable source for information, but only if it is someone that might actually know, rather than a random. In any case, as Saint Garrett says above, looks like we've moved onto Forren for the left sided centre back.
-
West Ham 26 points Saints 22 points With 16/17 games to go, including West Ham coming to St Mary's. Thedelldays may have been a little too hasty in his assessment...

No longer top 3 favourites to go down..

Given FFP will be in force next season in the Championship, he will struggle to do that without having to pay huge fines and have a transfer embargo. -

The full game is now on Saints Player. -
That isn't catching us then is it. Since the beginning of November we have had a far better record than any of the other teams in the bottom 6. We are pulling away from teams in the bottom 6 and catching those from 11th to 14th, it is those teams we want to drop points now. How many Wigan players do you think would get in a Saints best XI of... Boruc Clyne Shaw Forren Yoshida/Fonte Cork Schneiderlin Ramirez Lallana Puncheon Lambert
-
Wigan won't catch us, a draw helps keep Sunderland in touch. All about catching as many mid table teams as possible, looking up not down.

Why is it "too late"? The World Cup is next summer and Lambert will be 32 when it starts. That isn't exactly "old", and in any case if you are good enough - age be it old or young doesn't matter. He is currently the joint 5th top scorer in one of the world's best leagues (whilst playing for a relegation threatened team) and is the joint top English scorer in with Defoe. Plus, his all round game this season has been superb.
-
Lallana was called up by Roy this season, after only playing 3 Premier League games for newly promoted Saints.
-
Although Lambert has been very important, that is very harsh on a lot of other people.
-
Joint top English scorer with Defoe. Roy to give him a call...?
-
Sign him up, Sign him up, Sign him up.......

How do you know Saints haven't? As Nigel always says, Saints do their business behind the scenes and announce things when complete. -
Because he leads the line very well, which anyone watching the Villa or Stoke game would see. Lambert was playing in a deeper role in those games, allowing Rodriguez to make runs in behind the defence. Rodriguez isn't lighting quick but is fast enough to worry defences, something Lambert can't do.
-
We are going to be doing a lot of running without the ball against the European Champions, let Guly Do Prado and Rodriguez do that and then bring Lambert and Ramirez on fresh in the second half.
-
That happened yesterday.
-
He is on large wages and unlikely to want to play second fiddle to a 17 year old.
-
He trained yesterday and will likely play tonight. All he had was a cut on his knee.
