  1. If you read it you clearly haven't understood it if you think your question still stands.
  2. Teams tend to have far more rigid formations whilst without the ball, when they have the ball they can break forward and positions are less defined if given some freedom of movement.
  3. Same applies to Mr Turkish. Have you actually read post #53?
  4. Read post #53 in its entirety.
  5. I wasn't wrong, you twisted what I was saying to fit your view and even cut a bit out of the last quote. Now that is hilarious...
  6. No it doesn't, as that shows us with and without the ball combined. I was talking about the formation whilst Man City were in possession. Once Saints were in possession they could break forward and a formation whilst attacking is less rigid and less defined.
  7. We came 12th in 2003/04 with a squad like this...
  8. That would make it a 4231 system, which can't really be described as a 433. Adkins consistently refers to it as a 433, it is clear when out of possession that Schneiderlin plays deeper than any other midfielder with two central midfielders ahead of him.
  9. Well the 433 has been the formation used throughout pre-season. It was also the formation used for the majority of the opening two league games.
  10. I meant changing it from being the main formation, the 433 is the main formation with 442 and 442 diamond as the backups during games.
  11. The 433 is the 3rd way. The other two systems are the 442 and the 442 diamond we used the previous two seasons.
  12. Yes I have and that is the default formation without the ball. Yes, Lallana breaks forward but without the ball the above diagram is how we lineup. Schneiderlin sits infront of Fonte and Hooiveld as the holding midifelder.
  13. I don't see Adkins changing the system. It will probably be like this pretty much all season unless it goes disastrously wrong...
  14. I doubt it, Peter Rodrigues is 68 years old!
  15. Unless you add a date or say when the player was at his peak it doesn't really make sense. For example Le Tissier in 1994/95 was a lot better than Le Tissier in 2001/02.
  16. Maybe a dressing gown would be better?
  17. Why do the Pompey Supporter's Trust claim they will be the "largest community owned club in the country" if they takeover the club? Exeter City for example in League Two are owed by a supporters trust and have over 4,000 members! http://www.ecfcst.org.uk/frequently-asked-questions/ Pompey on the other hand have a mere 1,670 "pledges" of £100 that may or may not turn into £1,000. Pompey maths... 1,670 >>> 4,000+
  18. It is hard to tell as it isn't solely down to the opponent. The league situation at the time has an influence, if we have things riding on games late in the season attendances will be strong. And dates play a factor, for example the Stoke game is aided by being on the final day of the season. The Arsenal game on New Year's day would sell out regardless of when it was, but any game being the club's only home fixture over Christmas/New Year would sell out. I think we will comfortably average over 30,000 as we did in the four previous years at St Mary's in the Premier League, with the majority of games selling out in the home blocks.
  19. But we do play Man City, Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal, Everton, Liverpool, Newcastle, Sunderland, West Ham, Aston Villa etc. All large clubs which will sell out St Mary's. Even fixtures vs Reading will probably sell out as they will fill the away end and Saints will sell 29,000 home tickets.
  20. We won't play Wigan every week. Take next week vs Man Utd for example, Saints are limited to selling 29,000 home tickets, they sold that many today. Do you really think they couldn't sell a lot more if there were more seats available. The demand for the Man Utd game isn't the same as the Wigan game, yet Saints are limited to selling 29,000 next week.
  21. Perhaps the same thing that happens at the Emirates? Bank holiday weekend in school holidays, people don't turn up and don't give tickets to friends/family.
  22. Make that 3 people... (usual suspects aswell)
  23. Seems the same can be applied to The Kraken...
  24. It would appear CB Fry, you haven't actually read what I said.
