- I doubt any other groundmen in League One has the budget and resources that the Saints head groundsman has available to him. - Being on the South Coast helps with its "relatively mild" climate compared to those up north. - Not having rugby matches - Not having any training sessions on the main pitch (like some other clubs had to when it snowed).

We have already played Dagenham & Redbridge away this season.

Every post of Dune's that I read makes me slightly more left wing than I was before.

What is the surname of the actress that made her name playing Queen Elizabeth I in Blackadder II in the 1980's?

Does it really matter to you what I say to him on an internet forum? If you think I'm a "****", put me on ignore. I'm fully aware he is trying to get us to bite. I do however think he is genuine in his opinion although he is shown to be factually wrong.

1) "South Coast" means on the coast in the south of England. You said south coast, if you didn't mean the "south coast", then don't say it! You also ignored points 2) and 3). 2) The Pompey squad a) cost more in transfer fees and b) has higher wages than Saints. Yet you said Saints are the most expensive team. 3) Saints also have 3 games in hand on Bournemouth.

Forget History! You are ignoring Geography! Your opening post is a shambles...
-
Further advice... ask your Geography teacher for extra tuition next week.

1) Geography not your strong point? Plymouth, Exeter and Torquay are all football League teams on the South Coast and are all below Southampton in the league tables. 2) Portsmouth have a higher wage bill than Saints and their team cost more in transfer fees. David Nugent cost £6 million for example! 3) Saints have 3 games in hand on Bournemouth. Yes, Saints have had a relatively poor season considering the investment in the team. But you really should think about points 1), 2) and 3) before starting a thread such as this!

Loan period to open.. Do we have a deal lined up?
Matthew Le God replied to Saint 76er's topic in The Saints
- The squad when Pardew took charge was a shambles. - The squad when Adkins took charge was largely all in place. There was no real need for Nigel Adkins to sign large numbers of players for a League One campaign. Why have you ignored Chaplow? Why have you ignored Lallana wanting to work with Adkins for the next 5 years? (he could have easily left in the Summer at the end of his contract if he wanted) Why have you ignored Guly wanting to sign to play with Adkins? (he could have easily left in January at the end of his loan if he wanted) Why are you basing you opinion of Forte and N'Guessan on a handful of minutes on the pitch? Were you even present at these games to make such a judgement? -

Matthew Le God replied to Saint 76er's topic in The Saints
- Forte, Shea and N'Guessan are cover players and haven't played much so you can't judge them yet. - Richard Chaplow is hardly a "shocking signing". - Guly is debatable as he blows hot and cold. - Lallana signing a 4 and half year deal is the best signing in the Football League this season! -
Now this would make an interesting caption competition...

For best results you should start a new game when 11.3 comes out, but it will definitely work with old saves.
-
The patch (bug fixes) is compatible and will work with old save games. The data update isn't, as that would be impossible. You will have to start a new game to have Forte, N'Guessan etc at Saints.
-
Yes, it will.

Hartlepool 0 - 0 Saints - Post Match Reaction Thread
Matthew Le God replied to Saint_clark's topic in The Saints
Tonight could have been a lot worse! Bournemouth missed a penalty in their game. Saints ended up not losing any ground, still have 3 games in hand and have to play them. -

Huddersfield, Peterborough and Bournemouth all draw tonight, so we didn't lose any ground on them. Plus have games in hand to overtake them all. -
The 11.3 patch "should" be out next week.
-
Yes, on Saints Player.

St Mary's is bigger than 9 current Premier League Clubs grounds'!
Matthew Le God replied to AndyD's topic in The Saints
Well, Saints for the first time in their 125 year history have owners with both ambition and resources . Cortese wants Champions League football at St Mary's and that would certainly bring in the crowds. Saints have had >30k crowds for games in League One and the Championship, so you would easily be able to get over 40k for games against Man Utd, Arsenal, Man City, Liverpool, Spurs and Chelsea in the Premier League. Games against teams like Everton, Aston Villa, Sunderland, Newcastle etc would also see large crowds and large numbers of away fans. -

Matthew Le God replied to AndyD's topic in The Saints
Southampton's fanbase is spread a lot further than just the city and surrounding settlements. Also a larger St Mary's means larger away fan allocations in the Premier League, boosting the attendance even further. The club has done research which suggest it can support 45k averages in the Premier League, which would also mean that some games would get more than 45k. -
Roger has only listed six subs.
