Nice vid on the OS. Worth watching if you've not seen it.

With a COBRA meeting scheduled for lunchtime today it looks increasingly like this weekend's matches will be suspended. If that happens it will be several months without football unless they do it behind closed doors.

Norwich have a huge incentive to win this one and have improved of late. great win over Spurs after HT will give them a boost. Right now we are in a mess; even with players coming back we have lost our rhythm through all the enforced changes and have siloed back into sloppy habits at the back. Sadly, I cannot see past a defeat and probably 2-0.

A lot of people on here would love to see it happen 'though, wishful thinking or not. -

Easy to be cynical mate but smoke usually signifies something warming up. Unattributed rumours are often leaks for political gain. -

It's probably fake news. The world's financial markets are in turmoil right now with the uncertainty over Covid 19 and the newly unleashed oil war between the Saudi's and the USA shale gas producers but both issues will be resolved within a year so any sensible investor will sit tight until the storm passes. Panic selling will ensure only that any seller of assets will lose out heavily. -

That's wrong. Gao will want his £200m back plus Kat's (20%) £50m = £250m -
Simply the buzz has gone from football. It's not just Saints, the average Premier League match is absolute dross and unwatchable, too few goals and far too much physicality. Talented ball players are kicked out of games by thuggish bullies whilst fans have to endure endless speculative long balls into the box that achieve very little other than the recruitment of 7 foot beanpoles with no talent other than heading the ball back again for the process to be repeated. Now we are told by our coach with a straight face that really skilled ball players whom we will pay to watch like Boufal and Djenepo cannot get regular starts because of their deficiencies "off the ball"! So football is reduced to what players must do "off the ball". On-the-ball skills are wasted with manager/coach who is so single minded in his own beliefs that he fail to see the obvious. In some worlds this might be staled as "having lost the plot". In our best seasons we played attractive possession football with skilful players who weren't expected to run 100m in 8 seconds and chase back like headless chickens every time the ball went into our half. Somehow this old fashioned deficient system managed to win us more matches than we lost, resulted in many 3 or 4 goal wins and lots of clean sheets and had fans queuing at the turnstiles to get in. Happy days indeed.

Just a nagging doubt that Ralph's style of play has been well and truly sussed and he has no more to offer. Be aware that this will be the pretty much our same team next season as well. Sooner or later we are going to hit the buffers. Low attendance, seems quite a few older people are getting a bit nervous about the Virus.

Certainly cheered you up hasn't it.

Who said that? St Mary's will be three quarters empty if they do it.

Catch up old lad, the no handshake craze has been around for the last couple of weeks. The only person who offered to shake my hand this week was a Hospital Consultant, naturally I refused.

He's not old enough, you have to be 28 to play for the Under 23's.

That's why we're going down, again. What happened to the clean sweep and fresh start?

They can't find a pen that works, hence all the delays. -
They are the Saints Norm!
-
Not if you want them to be match fit and ready to go. Let's face it Smallbone and Obafemi didn't exactly tear up any trees at the Olympic Stadium.

Guardiola coming here? -
Not there yet 'though, these are worst case scenarios and whilst there is a lot of unknowns surrounding this virus there is also hope in that it has not spread out all over the place far more quickly. Even in China, Japan & South Korea their capital cities have not been decimated by the virus as one might have expected by now so containment measures appear to be working and these lessons can be learned. For now it is up to individuals to make their own reasoned choices. Whilst there are no confirmed cases locally that is not to say there are no carriers. At least if you go to St Mary's it will be in the open air.
-
We can assume that Romeu and Adams will start as they were given a run out in the U23's last night.

He's either chucking it in or has signed a new contract.
