You're only allowed 3 subs and these are pre-planned so barring unforeseen injuries it doesn't matter who else is on the bench. Last week it was Johnson's turn. Obviously today Austin, Long & Lemina are the three planned subs for Ings, Armstrong & Redmond. -

Ridiculous nonsense, how can you really dislike somebody that much in only 10 days? -

Seats are a lot more expensive 'though. I guess you could say in summary that the bus has left the building and has arrived at the station? With the train leaving soon Ralph, where is the destination? -
Seems Ralph won't be letting him go any time soon. Big player for Southampton. Let's face it right now what Ralph wants Ralph will get. He was less supportive of Manolo at his presser.

Utter ********! He's going nowhere.

The Pre-January Transfer Window Thread
Charlie Wayman replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
Here we go again, fake press stories aimed at destabilising our club just when we might be getting our act together. Lots of nasty, spiteful people in the football media who probably hate us for what we did to one of their precious clubs on Saturday in the full TV spotlight beamed around the world. Having landed a big fish manager in the form of Ralph Hasenhüttl the last thing the club would do now is pull the rug out from under his feet by selling any of our best players. -

You forgot to tell us how many games it has been since we beat a top six team. I make that 0 -
You cannot put an old head on your shoulders, yes there has been some promise in Valery's appearances so far but his HT substitution at Cardiff shows how fragile his confidence can be when things do not go as well. Yesterday he had time and space because of our set up but still he made very few runs to the bye-line and when he did their LB read him easily, so let's not get carried away just yet, Maybe next season if Cedric decides to try his luck elsewhere but right now we should not forget that on his day Cedric is a top class international player and can create havoc down the right wing. In fact our situation is almost ideal with the young challenger in the wings and a new enthusiastic and paternalistic manager who seems to have no favourites and possibly getting every single player to improve and give of their best.

That's libellous and shame on you. Why on earth would a postie want to pay £35 to get into SMS just to claim a free drink?

Hasenhuttl to leave if saints get relegated?
Charlie Wayman replied to ChiefScummer's topic in The Saints
Let's just take one step at a time. On Sunday we get to see Ralph Hasenhüttl in action for the first time on our own turf and I for one and really looking forward to it. OK, we expect to lose but what if we don't, that we actually snatch a victory; then the world view of Saints would look a whole lot different than it does now. I accept also that if we get a drubbing form the Gunners then a few doubts will start entering the minds of the faint hearted. We have lost a lot of ground already and it won't be easy to haul us back to safety as the other clubs are not going to suddenly start losing every match just to please us. Matches against the top six will be just as important to us as the others from now on. There are no games we can afford to lose starting on Sunday. -
Maybe Ralph Hasenhüttl is keeping his cards close to his chest, not difficult to select photos for publication is it? In any case it's only Wednesday and the match is on Sunday.
-
Unusually daft from you. Players need to play matches to get MATCH fit.

One doubts we'll be invited to offer an opinion, isn't this the new manager's job?

Possible re-siting of away fans at SMS

This! We have far more pressing matters to worry about than where a bunch of visitors sit. -
What a load of ********!

This is going to take time, and we need to be patient...

Maybe showing them how to improve might be a bit more useful than an aimless bollocking? -
Absolutely agree with you. Anybody who has watched an U23 game this season - 525 at the last St Mary's match - would not place their hopes in any of the young lads. Obviously the 525 did not include many of the wishful thinkers on here.
-
That's why we're going down!

Which just goes to show how much to believe of what you read on here. One or two people who should be millionaires by now according to their own estimates of their gambling prowess, very clearly are not; one doubts Cabbage Face is a millionaire or will be very soon.

Don't underestimate our players and don't be surprised if we win well tomorrow. They will understand the implications of the infrastructure changes that have been made over the last three weeks. There is a new atmosphere of renewal and ambition around the place and this is bound to re-ignite the passions in players for their own ambitions and futures. We maybe cannot measure the impact of a 'feel good' factor but everyone will respond to it even if sublimely.

He is the most clear minded, thoughtful and intelligent guy we've ever had at SFC at any level, with not a trace of hyperbole or bull**** about him. Not your average thick as a brick football manager that's for sure. Why does he feel the need to keep apologising for his English when he speaks it far better than most of us? His will be one giant presence on the training pitch and it's hard to see how Davis, Watson and the others will keep up. They've had it far too easy for far too long.
-
Crikey, the guy is intelligent, focused, articulate and charmingly modest. After the tedium of a Hughes or Puel press conference listening to our Ralph is like manna from heaven. His frankness and openness will endure him to everyone. You'd have to be one miserable git not to like why we've heard so far. Who will be the first player to say "I don't fancy this, too much running" and Ralph's messages him, Run Rabbit Run! Charlie will soon slim down to weight and Ward Prowse's legs will be three inches shorter by January. "The squad is too big"... this man sees it and talks it as it is, no hiding now Ralph K

... and we thought he was Reed's Pet Boy :-( Hope he can pay attention for more than 10 minutes Crikey JWP & SD, it'll be a cricket score, guess he really didn't want the job. What the hell has Oriol Romeu done that was so bad?
