People may say that Moi's goals were 'soft' and scored against very poor opposition but he scored three whereas Redmond, Long & Odafemi could only manage one between them. Rather more than luck wouldn't you say?
-
The goalkeeping section probably has an annual budget with nothing left in their kitty until one of our colanders leaves.

That's the team I'd pick although most likely he'll stick with Perraud. We should not make it too easy for Livramento, he should be made to fight for his place like everyone else. Keep him hungry by not giving him a place on a plate. We'll likely win 3-1

Newport are a very poor team 😉

Very good prediction Please post streams asap. Thanks.

I always suspect players who say that they dreamed as as kid of always wanting to play in the PL for the club Southampton. Already on -5 points. Do I back the judgement of a manager whose defenders ship goals for fun? Nope Anyway, he's here so it's too late to worry about all that.
-
He was useless at Man U. Early days yet. Kick & Rush has had it's day. Back to the Past?

Nah! Smoke & Mirrors.

Is that a fact, I didn't know that. Amazing that we seem not to have room for KWP, Diallo and Stuart A in our team and I hope to goodness we don't forget Tella. Tella might be a very good fit with Alan A on today's showing, Adams was defo second best to AA and by some margin? Nice problems to have! Oh! and there's a another guy called Redmond............ what happened to him?

Conundrum from Ralph as Chelsea will almost certainly have a buy back clause in his transfer contract so Tino will be off in a couple of years. If we piss off Kyle in the meantime and he wants out as well we'll be back in sheiss creek paddleless once again. Your problem Ralph!

Mods, where is the MotM poll? Romeo for me by a country mile. Gutsy performance from the lads, Djenepo looks fitter and better, Armstrong put Adams in the shade. Sorry Alex but you still give me the jitters. Good to see the LB cameo by KWP. Problem for Ralph looming. Tino needs to forget that he is cast as an eighteen year old youth player and relax a bit, nobody will mind if you smile occasionally. Peraud looks as if he will be a successful Premier League player. Nice one Salisu. Smiles tonight, we didn't expect that result and although we are nowhere near the finished article, with some refinement and polish we should be able to beat a few teams. We must beat the Toon to consolidate this result and push on. What is important is that we didn't really play very well but still got a result, exactly how the top clubs get by especially Man U over the past few seasons. Is that a chink of sunlight flashing through the clouds?

What I don't get with Ralph Hasenhüttl is that he appears to understand the game very well indeed and always gives sound technical reasons for his explanations to Journos at his weekly pressers and might expect that with that level of understanding and insight, we should be able to quickly correct errors in our play and eradicate them. He never fails to comes across as being very intelligent, very knowledgeable of the game and even a step above some of the more widely lauded top managers technically. Yet we continue to struggle, same old patterns of play, same old frailties and same old outcomes. So why do things not improve under the guidance of our seemingly wise manager? I am beginning to form the view that he is brilliant at talking-the-talk but clueless at walking-the-walk. In other circumstances we would dismiss such people as nothing more than Grade A bullshissers. Ralph has certainly passed the test for being in the Premier League of such conmen.

Loose by more thane goal tomorrow and we will be in the bottom three.

As I mentioned a few weeks ago, they sold our seats to somebody else before we were invited to renew. No apology, no explanation, no offer of decent alternative seats, no sign of contrition by the blokes on the phone or the club via e-mail exchanges. ST holder for endless years yet that's how little they care about us/you as an individual So, hard as it was we stuck two fingers up at them and walked away. Sod that for a game of soldiers, they can eff off and find other mugs to fill their bloody stadium.
-
Who is Varane? Never heard of him either.
-
That would be a hoot! Come on lads give the poor sod a chance. He's not even here yet!
-
B*****. We're never going to get rid of bloody poster boy. What a bloody con!
-
I have never read such a load of utter bilge in my life. What is this Pompey obsession of yours all about? Very unhealthy!
-
The manner in which United demolished Leeds yesterday was frightening, 5-1 and we are certainly not Leeds. I suspect we are in for a drubbing and the PL scoring record could be broken again. 11-0 defeat not impossible if we start without KWP and a new CB.
-
Well let's think about this... there's Kelvin Davis er... there's Dave Watson er... there's `Alex Gross.... say no more! mostly seems generous
-
Bloody weird team selection once again from Hasehüttl and the now inevitable clueless responses to changing circumstances on the field. I hope he doesn't succeed in pissing off a few more of our better players like JWP and SA so that they also join the queue of wanna ways. There is a growing sense of inevitability about this season.
-
If we are successful players will want to stay, if we are not then they will leave. The club got pilloried for handing out 5 year contracts to players who flopped; there is no crystal ball to help them determine who will succeed and who will not.

Michael Obafemi - Official: Signs for Swansea
Charlie Wayman replied to SuperSAINT's topic in The Saints
He has no future here under Ralph so the best advise is for him to leave. Apart from running fast, where are his special talents? Bull in a china shop is how I see him. -
Jannik Vestergaard - Official: Signs for Leicester
Charlie Wayman replied to ChiefScummer's topic in The Saints
Therein lies the problem. They may have ben our best players but they didn't help us rise above being mostly crap. If they were our "best", then only "best" by a gnat's whisker. None of the leavers were better than mediocre. The training ground will be a much better place having rid ourselves of their self-centred surliness. -
Well not quite. This is nowhere near our starting XI yet.
